Hello all
Grey again this morning but supposed to stay dry so hopefully the sun will peek through at sometime or I will be fading back to beige
Slept well last night in fact close to 9 hours with a few wake ups but wow my dreams were strange  I do wonder what the heck is going on inside my brain sometimes
Judi maybe we both need dream analysis
No major plans today apart the usual tidy and washing. Did a lot yesterday and got rid of all the hospital stuff I have had out for my hip recovery. Nice to have the house back to normal although I will miss my trolley which had become a useful junk storeIf it wasn't a vile hospital brown I would have carried on using it :rotfl:
Made some lamb Koftas last night and cooked them with onions and red peppers on the table top grill then had them with nan, dips and salad....nom nomthe grill has really come into its own in this weather where I don't want the oven on. Today I think Ill head back to a salad to use up some fridge stuff.
Have a good day all0 -

Morning All
Not much weather going on here, at least it's not raining yet. Not sure if I should chance putting the washing out, I'll decide when I've had a shower.
I was really busy in the garden yesterday, neighbours delivered the ton of soil and I cut a bed in the border, edged it and filled it, just need to get some plants now!
I'm going for brunch with a friend today, that usually does me for meals for the day.
nmlc - Total respect to you cooking a full meal when your kitchen is in such a guddle.
Silver-oldie, I too have a glut of cucumbers but the neighbours are happy! Sadly not so many of them like courgette.
Have a happy Sunday, take care. XX0 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread Holly and hugs to all those in need.
We moved the boat yesterday, well CHS did, I bridge hopped, driving the car from bridge to bridge, walking back to work the lock, walking back to the car to move it to the next bridge.
We were planning on moving again today but our next two planned stops are full, I'll check them out again on Monday.
We filled up with water and had a pump out, hopefully today I can have a shower.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -

That recipe looks great.
Youngest dd and bf have not come downstairs yet so I am up and dressed, taken my meds and loaded dishwasher etc. It looks as if the sun is trying to come out so might offer breakfast in the garden if they fancy the idea. We have nice bread rolls, eggs and bacon and I have some chicken breasts I can cook in a fancy bag to have with salad, sugar snap peas and wedges for lunch.
I have no idea if there will be three, five or seven of us so will cook six chicken breasts anyway and cool whatever is not needed to use in another recipe etc.
Older dd and SIL were going to drive over today to pick up the new pram and buggy combo but as she had been having "niggling pains!" and is near her due date anything could happen.
Hugs to all0 -
Commisserations to those of you having work done at the moment - it's far too hot.
I've had the Ziggypup out from 7.45 until just now so that she had a good run but although it was cool feeling I'm still running with sweat so it must be very humid. The temps in or neck of the woods are supposed to be going silly again this week and I am dreading it. If Ziggy wasn't booked in to be spayed this week I'd be off to Yorkshire where it looks to be about 8-10 degrees cooler.
DH has gone to play golf with DS, I hope he isn't all day because we have to leave at 5 to go to London to see Graham Nash. I wish we weren't now, when we booked we thought Ziggy would be back with DD but she isn't so we'll have to leave her for several hours. She'll be perfectly ok but I don't like doing it.0 -
Morning all
Beautiful day here again I have a load in the wm and will hang it out after this.
WE collected dd's housewarming present yesterday its a Lombok planter chair, I have one in my conservatory and she has always loved it, so I have been looking for one for months, two eventually came up on ebay and I managed to win both, so one for dd and a matching pair now for me, they are lovely looking and just keep going up in value so a good investment.
Re the fly's unfortunately they were not thunder fly's but horrid great big blue bottles, god knows where they came from but we have had nothing since.
Probably a bbq tonight again to make the most of the lovely weather, off for a shower now and then out for a long walk with the pup later.
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
The weather station is showing rain, I have just been into the garden and there is very fine drizzle, but not a lot....... its so much cooler, lovely.
We had melon for breakfast this morning, I got a nice ripe one from Aldi on Thursday, there is enough left for tomorrow.
My back is no better, in fact I think its slightly worse, still taking the pain killers but a visit to the Drs might be on the cards.
OH is in the front garden sorting out some more of the weeds. The wood chippings we put down last year seem to have almost disappeared, OH wants to order some more, not at the moment gungadin.......they will have to wait.
The gardener yesterday said he would put down the rest of the slabs behind the shed, I need to get a bag of sand for him to set them in. He did an excellent job in the garden yesterday.
Chicken for supper tonight, although just at the moment I do not feel much like eating, maybe I will feel better later.0 -
Beautiful chair RR, I hadn't heard of them before. Checked their website and they do have some truly stunning pieces, sadly with a price to match!0

Hello all.
It's very warm and sunny here, but already we have had a blackbird launch itself into the patio doors ( it flew off, so it's ok ) so we opened them and next doors cat crept in. It was heading for under the coffee table when spotted. Talk about a scalded cat, she shot back across the living room like an exocet missile :rotfl:. She is such a cutie but very skittish and we wouldn't mind her in here at all.
Nothing much doing today except Sunday lunch, sorry I'm cheating again. Steak and ale pie, roast potatoes, honey roast carrots and frozen mixed veg, with gravy. Don't know whether Dad will arrive, but he will ring about 12 if not.
I didn't get around to hoovering upstairs yesterday as we decided to fill the green waste bins ready for Tuesday morning. In trying to get out of the way of a large log that Mr Fix It was wielding around, I pulled a muscle in my hip area and I still got a clonk on my head. So now I'm also walking like a drunken sailor. I'm just falling apart, will have to get some more duct tape to keep me in one piece :rotfl:.
Csarina I hope your back recovers soon.
NMLC fingers crossed the kitchen will be finished soon and beautiful
Speky I hope the date went off ok
Elona maybe soon ? :j
Judi enjoy your break. I love Devon
Ok I think it's more coffee time, I'm parched this morning.
Enjoy Sunday everyone.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0
