That's because the child agreed to go. The police can not force anyone to go with them unless they arrest them. (or they are under another authority e.g. sectioned)0 -

I can only assume you mean s.46, but who knows.
But that seems unlikely given what the officer has to do in order to achieve that.
So yes on paper it's possible, but in reality you're mad if you think that applies to this scenario.0
