Anyone dabble in shares?

Hi
Its a great feeling when one of your shares takes off. Ive got cash in Thus & they went the other way though. I know a lot is speculation but 'double' is quite a bit more than 5% less tax. I like to keep an eye on the charts - trend is frield & all that. Watching for when theyve stopped falling & about to take off upwards again.

Husband and I dabble in shares and have been very lucky in a few that we have chosen.
We picked in sectors that we believe will always have a market.
We lost one big time was £150 investment now worth about £2. But hey never mind it is only money.
Never dabble with money that you can't afford to lose. That is why it may sound blase about losing £148 + dealing charges. But we knew the shares could rise and fall. And you take the rough with the smooth.
Mind you it helps to inhert a few.
Yours
