Am thinking of changing my supplier to Sky and the free voucher looks good but reading the small print it says you don't get it if you have ever had sky before.Had it a few years back so does this mean I won't qualify? would think most people swap about to get the best deal

Seems pretty clear that you wouldn't be entitled to it unfortunately. My bold...You must not have ever registered an account with Sky or Sky Broadband in order to qualify for this Gift Card.
Have a look at cashback websites. They are offering £70+ depending on the package (Quidco are actually offering £100 for all packages until tonight). Although as usual, cashback is not 100% guaranteed.0 -

Is that for the free return European flight? I can't see where you got that bit from but that's truly atrocious.0 -

No it's a Broadband Genie offer for the voucher. I imagine Sky's terms for the free flight will be the standard 'new' customer ones.

Looks like one has to be very careful with Sky on this offer . With the MSE warning
(1) Usually this means customers who don't currently have broadband with that company - see each firm's rule when you click the link.
I normally take for granted it would be within 12 mths for BB , now it anytime in the past with BB and worse any past a/c with SKY which would include past customer of SKY TV.0 -
Just spoke to SKY regarding £50 mastercard offer using Quidco cashback. Their wording is slightly different ie "Choice of reward: Fitbit Charge 2 or £50 Prepaid MasterCard®. Available to new Sky Broadband customers joining without Sky TV only."
This means if you have or had SKY TV this will invalidate the offer. I gave feedback that SKY are moving the goalposts and should keep Broadband & TV separate and NOT penalise you just because you had or have one of two services.
The other wording is more clearcut ie You must not have ever registered an account with Sky or Sky Broadband in order to qualify for this Gift Card.
Would appreciate any comments on this especially someone from MSE as I am sure other people could easily get caught out.0 -

Yes you are probably correct and it was my bad wording. I was going to cancel my sky tv yesterday, but decided to renew for for another 12mths after they reduced the price. Today, the conversation he mentioned that, had I cancelled yesterday I would still not get the cashback (probably because it takes a month to cancel & I could not be bothered to dig deeper). Have decided to go with plusnet .0
