    Photogenic Debt-free and Proud!
    Good morning everyone,

A much nicer morning here in Glasgow. No clouds in the sky.

Yesterday, after I stayed late in work, I went home for a quick dinner and then over to my mums to help in the garden for an hour before heading back home and going to bed.

Tonight, I've another free evening and I said I'd come and help in the garden again. Slowly making progress.

Also, tomorrow is date night with the girl from work. We're going to 'work late' for an hour until most people go home and I'll drive us over to a local pizza place. I'm warming to the idea of it all but I'll continue to take it snails pace and see how we get on.

HH - Sounds like a lovely day was had :)
Nelski - The freedom one feels once they get their driving license is unrivalled.

    Morning all.

DM hasn't complained about a congested head yet and her heart rate is around 66 still. Perhaps there is a bit of hope in sight.

Another warm day ahead, I just wish I were able to sit outside in my new garden. End of complaint!

The cleaner is coming this morning so I'm getting things ready for her, she takes the rubbish down to the bin shelter in the back garden so that's all waiting. Fresh bed linen for DM's bed also waiting. I'll hide away in the spare bedroom to let the cleaner work away unhindered.

I've had my yoghurt for breakfast and will make DM her porridge after I'm showered and dressed. It's the high life here :rotfl:

    Happy Thursday to everyone.

    Morning all,

Tossed and turned all night and only just woke up. I'd still be fast asleep if it wasn't for my much loved hounds who needed their breakfast.

Not much planned for my day. Grump will be spending the day with his toys down the shed which will give me a bit of space to do what I want to do.

LaineyT I am glad your SIL's operation went well and hope she continues to improve.

TA I hope the wheelchairs maiden voyage goes well too.

Speky is this a second date?

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all.

    Morning all from Mehefinland

Hugs and spoons to those in need.

Not much happening here really , but is been a strange week. Mrs m picked up a tummy bug and was off work for 5 days. Did n't see a lot of her in that time. Then poor old doggy got something similar and left copious presents on the kitchen floor at 4 am!! Must be something to do with Brave Sir Robin carping everywhere in the barn when he is pinching Rileycat's food. He's a cheeky beggar, sits right on the food bowl and pinches cat biscuits.
Had a delivery of hay yesterday which went in the spare stable. Trying to futureproof supplies for the winter as its going to be scarce and expensive around here. Scoobymare threw a hissyfit and wouldn't go past the stack!! Stupid horse!
Went to primary school leavers assembly yesterday ( am school gov.). Very emotional and not a dry eye in the house lol. Choked up a bit myself too if Im being honest.
    That's it for now

Oops nearly forgot.. Lainey; what does your farrier charge for removes, and new? I remember you said Lu was bare behind. Bet that gets the comments going!

  • Thought I would pop out of lurkdom today. I have been reading along and am sending everyone positive vibes and gentle hugs. A lot of you are going through the mill at the moment and I admire your fortitude and resolve to just get on with things.

    Pops back out again:)

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Glad some of you had a better day yesterday.

Thank you for the good wishes re my back, I dosed myself up last night and got OH to rub some foul smelling stuff into my back. Went into the shower when I got up and drove gingerly into town. Got the nice chappie in Aldi to lift the bags into the car for me, the same at Morrison,so we will not starve.

Just now my back is simmering nicely, need to take some pain killers and rest for the rest of today. I have a hospital drive tomorrow.

OH is out in the garden he is painting the preservative on the shed despite me asking him not to, if he falls again I am leaving him to get up himself, its called being cruel to be kind. He needs to realise the stress he puts me under.

Not sure whats for supper tonight......need to look at the list.

£50, for a trim behind and new on front, that seems to be the going rate around here. Considering he mainly works on the big racing yards in Newmarket am lucky to have him as decent farriers are like hens teeth!
How much did you pay for your hay, my storage capacity is limited so can only get 10 bales at a time, paying £3.50, it’s this years so has to be soaked?

Am admiring your restraint Judi :rotfl:

I am hoping that once you'v relaxed into being a "properly retired lady of leisure" you will stop grinding your teeth, I think it took a good 12 months after I finished work and even now after 18 months I still do it if stressed, but nothing like when I was working.
