JD Williams/Jacamo - Incorrect/False Late Payment

Hello,
I've never actually posted on here, nor even looked at the website, except to use MSE Credit Club before so this is all new to me.
I'm having trouble with a company and a false credit entry by them,
Company: JD Williams/Jacamo
Problem: Unfair/incorrect/false recording of late payment on Experian(possibly more credit reference agencies)
Proof: My bank has sent proof that the direct debit was setup, when it was setup, that money was never taken and that I never cancelled the direct debit and it was still active
Expected Conclusion: Complete removal/change of late payment to normal without effect on my credit records
Story: I bought from Jacamo last year and setup a direct debit for the full amount. This was all setup, I ended up paying it the day after I bought items.
Roll on this year, I bought an item and was on holiday when the payment was due but it's ok because I had a direct debit.
Got home from holiday, two letters from Jacamo, Letter 1: stating my account was overdue for the amount of £61 including a £15 admin late payment charge, Letter 2: Predating letter 1 stating that a minimum payment of £0.00 was due on my account.#
I called Jacamo and they removed the admin late payment charge and i payed the full amount over the phone
I checked my bank and they have sent written proof that the direct debit was setup and never cancelled by me, or anyone else and was still active.
Today, I checked my experian report through MSE Credit club and have a the Jacamo account with 1 month late payment
I'm trying to get a mortgage this year and have a 100% clean credit record on all agencies and I'm fuming
Can anyone give me any advice please?, i've read that this cannot be removed only a note added to my credit record(which is 100% unacceptable to me), I really don't want to have to go to court/ombudsman if it can be avoided

Send a complaint to Jacamo. It sounds as if they will remove the late marker.0

Hi,
As above, follow their complaints procedure, that’s why it’s there.
As it’s a data protection issue, any escalation would be to the ICO not the FOS.
