I went out to rescue the preservative and realised I had done my back to in trying to lift him up. Limped into the house, dosed myself with pain killers. Have spent the afternoon lying flat on the settee!!!
What a calamity csarina, hope you both rest up.
Evening all, another busy day at DM Towers. The delivery of the toilet guard happened. Whilst it looks very hospitaly it’s proved useful for DM already. Then I managed to get out for some shopping and a wee sit down in the cafe with a coffee and the paper. :j
This afternoon DM took a notion to hunt out the Prudential life assurance policy which her and my Dad took out in 1957! I eventually found it and then she wanted me to ring them to find out what it’s worth. That took ages (complicated call) but got a figure in the end. The weekly sub was 1/8d at the start.
Then we had a discussion about ‘arrangements’. She’s not dying of this condition but it seemed to reassure her.
There are so many of us facing challenging times, love the support from the community here. I’m sending out good vibes to add to it all.0 -
