AOD, You haven't got a tooth abscess brewing have you? That sometimes causes jaw ache without the tooth soreness.
TA have a good day in Skipton - one of these days we'll pass in the street.
Well I'm back home for a week or so after my gallivanting. DD and S-i-L are back from the Seychelles tomorrow but almost immediately heading up to Glasgow for a wedding, christening and a funeral. Even then they won't be taking Ziggy because she is being spayed next Thursday. DD wanted to have it done laparoscopically so has booked her into a local vat to have it done. Then DD and S-i-L are off to a yoga retreat and we will take Ziggy back on the 31st when we are going to see Alan Bennet's new play at the Bridge Theatre.
My plans for the day are to pick up a parcel from Matalan (just delivered there not bought from there, the options for delivery seem endless now). Then a little light vacuuming (Tru, I hope you are happy with the cordless vac, we got one for the Yorkshire house and it is so light compared to the dyson. Then I want to sew, I've missed it the last few weeks and I've got several things I want to finish.0 -
Morning All
Don't want to make you jealous but it's raining again! Hopefully it will stop in a bit and I can get the washing out, dodging builders on the way! The poor labourer turned up here half drowned, he had cycled to get here so I've given him a hoodie to wear for now and his is in the tumble dryer (he is honoured, I don't use it very often).
My thoughts are with your SIL Lainey, hope all goes well.
Your dad is very naughty nanny, has he heard of the boy who cried wolf?
Woohoo for your DD RedRuby, my DD and BF have been delayed.
Enjoy your day out TA, you deserve it!
How's your DM Gers?
Sorry to hear of Mr LW's illness LW.
I have DS1 an the children coming today for a few days, to think that 8 months ago we didn't have any contact. I'm super excited!
Need to go for a HepA booster today too, if I have it now it will be years before I need another.
Have a good day, take care. XX0 -
Good morning,
A very quick one as I've a scheduled phone call in 20 minutes.
Watched the football last night (which was dreadful) and then had dinner with my mum. Home for an early night.
Tonight, weather dependant, I'll help in my mums garden again.
Right. Must dash.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to everyone who need one, the list is a long one this morning.
It is fine but so far much cooler, I have the last load in the washer, hope to get it dry folded and put away.
Feeling distinctly wobbit this morning, no idea why, I hope I am not cooking another UTI. I can do without it just now.
Plan is for early doors start tomorrow, I need to go to both Aldi and Morrison.........
OH was at the drs last night. He has some cream and also new eye drops, he has to have them 4 times a day........have my nurses cap on yet again. He is champing at the bit to get outside, think he is going to start putting an extra coat of preservative on the shed and fence.
I will hang the laundry out when the machine has finished and take it easy for the rest of the day.
Regarding sending my denture through the post, I have the original moulds, to send it I would have to put it on the mould and tape both bits together and then pack it in bubble plastic and a sealable envelope. The techie assures me it would be quite safe as the moulds would protect it. He has cut his working days down to 3 days a week now, and is not taking on any more referrals. He is 65 now, hopes to go on working for at least anothe 5 years. He has 2,000 patients on his books.
Chicken pie for supper, with HG spuds etc. we have a few raspberries left, which reminds me I need to bag the ones in the freezer.0 -
I too have a confession re Amazo* prime I have bought a Lazy Spa I have wanted one for a while but couldn't justify it but i had some vouchers and it was nearly half price so i went for it

Morning all,
I'm sorry so many of you have health worries with your loved ones and am sending lots of hugs and feel better soon vibes.
It's a bit brighter here today, some sun peeping through the clouds. It was far cooler yesterday,I went to town to exchange the jeans I bought for DS2s birthday.I didnt put a jacket or cardi on and was quite chilly.Got a tiny birthday cake so we can put candles on it when the DGC come tonight, they love that.
Hope SILs op goes well Lainey.
RRuby Sounds like DD has done well with the furniture in their new house.Good luck with the move, and Camelots DD too.
No one has moved in next door yet, even though the LET sign has been up about 3 weeks.
I need a good clean up,didnt really do much at all when my back was at its worst last week.Although it's much better,I tried cleaning the shower yesterday and felt twinges and couldnt do as proper a job as I would have likedbut its much better than it was 2 mucky builders using it after work don't help. They never think to give it a rinse
Nelski,I very nearly bought another firestick yesterday but resisted even though there was £10 off :rotfl:We have 2 but the last one is far quicker /voice activated, and Ds has snaffled it for his basement bedroom. Its the only way we can get tv in the kitchen but being wall mounted its a pain to swap over.Next time perhaps ....
Ok I have some admin & invoices to do for DH ,need to stop prevaricating and just get on with it.Hope you all have the best day you can xx
Hope you have some baby news soon Elona.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Snoozer, I have wondered that. Was at the dentist a few weeks back, clean bill of health (though I have some gum recession around crowns, a bit unsightly) but I have been having some pain in a molar in that area. But that's an upper molar and this is pain in lower jaw, I will just monitor it for now.
I am not dressed, have been doing jobs in my pjs, which are covered in pandas, most unsuitable to be worn by aged me. Do I care? Do I fishfinger.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
:rotfl: @ AOD doing her tasks in her PJs. I don't have that option.
Letter from hosp today - but it's just the appointment for his next visit in October. Still no sign of the letter saying he's to be prescribed Dopamine.
All this is not good for someone who has bad Anxiety Disorder. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello lovelies
This morning we went up to town, collected Dads Fortisip and bought a new water filter jug. Since the water problems of last week, the water has been tasting a bit chemically, in fact it was so bad this morning I thought I was drinking TCP. Yuck ! We called into kfc for a bargain bucket for lunch and took it up to dads......... well those tablets must be a miracle cure and he's no longer at deaths door . He asked me to phone one of the members of his club to tell them he wouldn't be going today and shall we say she was very surprised that he only had a chest infection. What must he be telling people? While I was there he wanted some things done such as pulling his cooker out to clean behind. I told him no, that I wasn't dressed for that, plus it was too heavy for me, especially with my wrist still strapped up. I let him know that I was on to him and then somehow I turned into my mother , as she would tell him what was what. How she put up with him for 60 years I'll never know. Anyway in future I will do what I can and that's it, but I bet he'll be "happy" Dad for a while.
The good news is that Mr Fix it is on the mend and back to his cheeky self. He said the inside of my suitcase.... er handbag is like the Tardis :rotfl:. I told him he shouldn't be in there anyway ! (He was looking for my mobile phone as the alarm was going off, to signal his tablet taking time...... a likely story)
AOD would you perhaps have TMJD ? It doesn't always hurt just in the joint, but anywhere from the temple down to under the jaw. I hope it eases soon anyway.
bellabella _party_ a party ? count me in :T
Camelot Rain !! That's just rubbing it inWe have had 3 very short sharp showers and not enough to wet the floor
Hope you have a lovely time with your DS and children.
LaineyT I hope all goes well today for your SiL
Tru Thanks for your family insight. I am under no illusion of what dad has been saying to people, that he lives alone and has no help, blah, blah, blah . In fact more than once he had forgotten that I was standing behind him when he said it, but it was water off a ducks back and he won't stop now . I know I have done my part and that's all that matters to me, I just wish I had a thicker skin.
LW apologies that I missed your news about Mr LW, I shall send soothing and healing vibes.
Gers I hope your Dm picks up soon. I am sending her some healing vibes.
Holly I think I shall have to find the Sandman, as there seems to have been a dereliction in his duties. It would be nice to see you posting at a more reasonable hour. I hope your sleep pattern gets back to some normality soon. I shall send you some sleepy hugs in the meantime, yawn :grouphug: yawn..... zzzzzz !
Nelski are you still playing with Alexa ? Don't you have some work to do ?. Joking aside enjoy, enjoy !
I shall send gentle hugs to all those who are unwell ( anyone's OH too ) or struggling with daily issues. Take care all.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
OH managed to sit on the stool to paint the shed and it tipped over. He was wedged between the two sheds. Managed to get him out, no longer have the strength to lift him although I tried, enter neighbour who got him up and into the house.
I went out to rescue the preservative and realised I had done my back to in trying to lift him up. Limped into the house, dosed myself with pain killers. Have spent the afternoon lying flat on the settee!!!0
