we have a poundstretcher, a booksale and a buyology (new version of hyper value) thats about it in the city centre. can offer directions if any of those interest you.

nearest home bargains is in barry. wilkinsons is out of the town centre on colchester avenue (up towards newport road). barry might have a poundland, but no au naturels spring to mind

We used to have The Works, but because of St Davids 2 alot of the shops have moved and i dont know if its shut or moved somewhere else. I havent been able to find it yet anyway

the works/book sale is opposite poundtstretcher (down the side street by st johns church/the owain glyndwr). there's been one there for years happy bargain hunting!

just to confirm the new cheapy christmas shop is apparently now open (on the site of the old index store)

There are long queues at the ladies' toilets in the St David's Centre at this time of year. Alternatives: Cardiff Market, St Mary St entrance-ladies', gents' and disabled toilets. The Hayes, next to Hayes Island Snack Bar. In shops: Howells, BHS, M & S, Burger King (Queen St) and on the first floor of the Capitol Centre (Queen St, the end by Queen St Station.)
