You need to urgently contact your union, Unite, and ask what they think of you giving so much information on bulletin boards about your suspension, what it is for, your name, occupation, where you live and who your employer is.the_chairman wrote: »....any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Do whatever they tell you to do or, preferably, pre-empt what they tell you to do and get this and comments from the other boards deleted.Saving money right, left and centre0 -

I think it all stems from a post I put on facebook. Here is the post:-
So,a particular driver thinks my brother is talking all the time at Friar Lane does He?.Considering my brother cleans more buses than the other 2 cleaners, you are incorrect, and have failed to secure any brownie points. If you think you are clever being a grass, then read this......I am a bigger grass than you.You better be careful now, because I will be gunning after you.The slightest thing you do wrong, or fail to do, I will report you, and that includes failing to fill your defect card out correctly,or failing to record defects that I am aware of from previous days.BE WARNED,AND BE AFRAID.
I can only guess that the 2 complaints are from the other 2 cleaners.any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You made threats about co workers on facebook and you dont see that as a problem??
And yes, you are bringing the company in to disrepute if they now know about your bullying and intimidation and do nothing about it.
Adios amigo! You wont be driving buses for much longer0 -
I'm pretty sure that they already know. I'm beyond certain a UNITE official is currently thinking "the job would be great if it weren't for the members", and "what a plonker, there's no chance". If the employer has seen it as well.... Well, I guess the only question is how fast they are dismissed, not whether they are dismissed. You need to urgently contact your union, Unite, and ask what they think of you giving so much information on bulletin boards about your suspension, what it is for, your name, occupation, where you live and who your employer is.

He missed one... https://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/employment-hr.147/ I thought I'd help out by letting him know.He is a bus driver who seems intent on posting his suspension and personal details on any bulletin board he can find today.

Or you could just delete your Facebook account and get a real life.
I presume this thread is a wind up? Nobody could be so stupid...could they?
Regularly. On a daily basis. Yes, despite best efforts to tell people not to post anything about work or work colleagues; never to friend people at work; and to keep social media private, people are this stupid all the time. This kind of stupidity doesn't discriminate either - it goes from the shop floor to the boardroom: all ages, income brackets, ethnicities, genders or none!
The other thing that people regularly forget is that if you post to social media, there's no such thing as a private life. The things you say and do outside work may be just as likely to get you sacked, and posting about it is a really fast way to bring it to the attention of your employer.0 -
