Most equity investors think that way, my point is that is standard investment strategy, there isn't anything unique about it. If you don't believe me, go over to the savings and investment forum, and see for yourself.

I don't believe in following the herd.

I don't believe in following the herd.

It isn't following the herd (I don't do that either), I mostly invested in property between 1991 and 1993 in inner SW London (when many were posting their keys back through estate agents doors). What I said was a sound logical tried and tested investment approach. There are some things that you just can't (or shouldn't) ignore.

England have just done marginal odds on, India 89/5!

I am in a unique position all of my own, and the decisions I make are uniquely and rationally tailored to my own priorities, circumstances, and personality. It is very controlling of you to try to push your own priorities, circumstances, and personality on to someone else.

Wow! You think I'm trying to control you, gosh where did that come from?

I take it that you have absolutely no interest in the cricket, that is my focus right now, hence my previous comments.

Lets just call it a day then, goodbye.

For the record I think India will win. EDIT: Glad to be proved wrong, well done England.

I hope so, the pity is that I cancelled sky sports when sky lost the ashes to BT, and forgot to re-subscribe, so I am reduced to following it on cricinfo. If Only one of our top batsman had got a reasonable score it would have been over now, but as you say exciting.

It just got more exciting, only one more wicket required!

I don't think he is doing that at all. He has been around a long time and is a respected and decent poster here.

Apart from that, it is interesting to hear your story (and his).

Thanks, I was quite surprised that he seemed a bit intimidated. When Crashy questions (attempts to mock really) me, about why haven't I sold up yet, I don't mind at all explaining my motives. In fact, it actually helps me, as it is a fluid situation, it doesn't hurt to have to justify my actions (or lack of them) and reconsider if my logic is sound (or not).

I don't think I need to explain or justify the minutiae of my background, motivations, creative passions, or anything else so personal here. Not all life's decisions are 'investment' decisions, and only a robot, or money obsessive, would think they are. Money is secondary to life, love and art.
