    thanks bengalknights, i think thats exactly what the issue is.
    i think it is image embedded.

    Check its not image embedded as if it is then OCR wont recognise it so will require manual translating


    Isn't this the whole purpose of OCR software to recognize the text in a picture?

    Just for the record, OCR software would have worked well for this.


    I dont know what bengalknights is on about but reading text from an image is exactly what OCR is !!

    Doesnt work all the time as we receive a lot of statements that fail to translate due to a jpeg/bif image being embedded where the text lies within the image.

    Causes alot of irritation in my employees AP department!

    Not sure it would work on this (and its solved anyway) but Foxit pdf will let you save a .pdf as a text file.

    Doesnt work all the time as we receive a lot of statements that fail to translate due to a jpeg/bif image being embedded where the text lies within the image.

    But that means you're not using OCR software, because extracting text from images is exactly what OCR software is designed to do.
