Can anyone help me please? I need to renew my McAfee LiveSafe subscription. They have offered me a deal of £89 for 2 years, instead of 1 year, but I wondered if there are any better deals out there? There seem to be a lot of really cheap prices on Amazon and Ebay, but I don't know if these are real products or just a scam. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Anti virus Windows Defender £0
Add Malwarebytes free version £0
What else is needed? Don't waste your £89.0 -
Thanks so much for your responses, GunJack & Giraffe. Are the free services really that good, or even better than LiveSafe? If I remember, I got LiveSafe as it was compatible with my Carbonite cloud backup, which Norton and the like really weren't. Would this still be the case?0

I have read elsewhere that using Defender is only a really effective option if you are using Windows 10. If you are using any Windows version below 10 then the Defender option isn't as good.
I could be wrong on this but it's worth highlighting.
Either way, you do of course need to include Malwarebytes as well.0 -

That's because Defender on versions before W10 was a c@rppy anti-spyware only program that was as much use as a chocolate fireguard....
Defender as built-in to W10 is a proper anti-virus prog..it's got better since it was released but still not as effective as bd or avira.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Before Windows 10 the Microsoft AV program was called Microsoft Security Essentials. On Windows 10 the AV element was integrated into Defender.
Before W10, as stated, Defender was only anti-spyware... the "all-new" W10 Defender is an a-v...are you that young you don't remember it???......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
