Paymypcn giving my details to the debt collector

Hello everyone, I need some help with a parking charge received on the private land by London parking solutions. I was not aware of the charge being left on the screen as I was not driving at the time but as soon as I discovered which was after 14 days the invoice went up to £100 pounds. I went to their website to try an appealed on the grounds that I was not driving that day and was not aware however the website was not processing my clam until the option to appeal diapered. I then got a letter from a debt collection agency however the details they have are wron from the original parking charge. The 28 days have not passed as stated on the original ticket however on the sect collector letter is a different date (of course to look like 28 days have passed) and also the time differs in both. Now I want to send an email to the complaints@paymypcn. Net but I don’t know how to rephrase correctly as I think they have instructed a collectors agency which I think unlawfully have taken my details from DVLA and now threatening with a £160 charge. I would really appreciate your help as I am strapped for time.

Hi, and welcome to the forum ....

first please have a read of the forum newbie thread

this is the forum bible of what do do ... and not do .....

when read / watch the below to see the nature of this scam (Hansard)

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.

These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.

having read through (most of) newbie thread come back if you have any questions ...

    good luck

I would start with a complaint to the DVLA that the keeper has been denied the opportunity to appeal, and that the scammers have gone straight to a debt crawler, as well as an SAR asking who asked for your persona data and when.

If you are certain, and have proof that the scammers have passed your personal data to a debt crawler, you should also make a complaint to the ICO on their website that your personal data has been passed to a third party but you were not informed of this.

Appeal to LPS anyway using the template from the NEWBIES, stating that since the debt crawler letter is the first the keeper has received, they consider this to be the NTK.

  • Paymypcn ARE debt collectors!! look at info on website , check companies house and other searches

the debt collection letter you have now got has been sent from the next desk at Paymypcn who were never going to do an appeal anyway

    London parking solutions.
If you got the PCN in the post 14 days later, there was no windscreen PCN, obviously.

The 28 days have not passed as stated on the original ticket
So send the usual appeal as per the NEWBIES thread. NOW. What are you waiting for?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
