Aaleigha Last night I had mini Kievs and chips not the healthiest of dinners but I’m not flinging anything out. Not sure what I’m going to have tonight. Hope you can set yourself some new targets.
Still no eBay sales but 1 thing I have put on Facebook may have sold so that will be £30 if the person goes ahead and buys it.
I put a couple of posts on my business page and I’ve got an order for £20 to make up for Saturday. I did have to spend £3.50 on stuff for it but used a voucher so didn’t actually cost me any cash.
I’ve taken some money out of the bank so I don’t waste it so going to get it put aside so that I can put it in the bank when I need to.
Hoping that the item sells then I can start on my first shortfall envelope. Am thinking it’s going to be very hard to make what I need to every week but I’m trying not to get disheartened as it’s only 3 days into the month. I’m going to go have a look and see if I can’t get some of my spare room organised gonna give myself an hour then forget about it again until tomorrowTrust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0 -
Well the spare room is organised into piles and piles of stuff to go through. I’m actually disgusted at the amount of clothes, shoes and bags I have. Only problem is that there aren’t many good quality ones amongst them so think the charity shops might be benefiting from some donations soon.
I’ve got so much stuff am just glad that I have a spare room I can keep it all in until I get the chance to go through it all.
I’ve taken down the Christmas decorations and I think I need to re arrange my living room as there is a massive empty space where my tree was. It was so nice and cosy with the tree and lights it now just looks really bare
Finished off the mini kievs tonight and two stray croquettes so that’s another 2 things used up.
Also took some rubbish to the tip today so have made some space getting rid of the rubbish.Trust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0 -

Put another 5 dvds on eBay tonight and did a yougov survey but only for a prize draw entry this time!
Going to head to bed shortly as I’m up early tomorrow to go for a run. Then I need to get this room sorted.Trust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0 -
Morning... just!
Been out for my jog with my neighbour this morning which was good but was left feeling really low after it. Am a bit better now but just felt really alone even though I was in company. I’ve tried to re arrange my living room today but after sitting having my breakfast I’ve decided I don’t like it so am going to put it back once I can be bothered to get up!
I logged into my RBS account today and I had £11 worth of rewards I was going to take them out and put them in my account but looked at the exchange options instead and decided to change £10 for a M & S gift card and they added another 50p to my account. So I still have £1.50 of rewards left and £4 pending once they are cleared I will withdraw them.
I normally do park vouchers for Christmas but my budget won’t allow for them this year so thought if I can exchange my rewards for gift cards every few months at least I will have some money to spend at Christmas.
I’m still waiting on the lady paying me for the Facebook item but she has assured me that will be done today so once that’s done I will take it out the bank and put into my emergency fund jar aka the shortfall jar then once I have the £60 in there I will put it in one of my envelopes.
It will be tomorrow before I do that as I don’t need to go into the town till slimming world in the morning so I don’t want to waste any petrol going in before then.
I have my order to make up today to deliver tomorrow so I’m going to go get the stuff to start making that then I can either do the ironing which is like a mountain or go back in the spare room. Not sure what the best option is. Anyway I’m going to get up now do my breakfast dishes and then put the living room back to how it was.Trust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0 -

Well I’m feeling rather disheartened with the money saving and debts. I got my Tesco statement yesterday and I paid it straight away but it’s really got me down that I’ve paid it £105 the balance is only ever going to go down by £10 a month. Thing is I know that but it depressed me yesterday.
I got the money from the Facebook sale and from my order so that was £50 towards the pot.
I’m just a bit confused about what I’ve done with it all to be honest. I had some money left over from the sale of the house that’s been in my savings part of my account. I’ve been using that to go towards the shortfall. Once I’d done the StepChange thing I decided to take the money out my account so that I could keep it towards the shortfall I have every month in case I decided to go down the trust deed option I was scared that my bank may take the money to repay my debt.
I have been taking some out and putting it into envelopes for my shortfall but I’ve also been transferring money into my bank to go towards my bills and debts I just feel like I’ve lost a handle on what I’ve done with the money and what my plan is!
I’m going to spend a bit of time this afternoon trying to work out what I’ve done and where if anywhere I’ve gone wrong.
Went to slinming world yesterday and put on another 1.5lbs so am now up at 11st 0.5lbs so need to get back into my target as I’m now 11.5lbs over my target so I need to lose 8.5lbs to get back into target range. I’m going to give myself to the end of February to do it so that’s 7 weeks so just over 1lb a week and it’s also gonna cost me £4.95 a week so £34.65 which I haven’t budgeted for.
I put some more games on eBay yesterday and I’ve actually got one bid for 99p so it’s a start!
I will post an update once I’ve sorted out some figures and figured out where I’ve gone wrong.Trust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0 -
I hope I have caught you before your charity shop run
I have had some good results posting 4 pairs of trousers, 3 blouses and only asking small amounts like 1 quid or 7 50 and letting it go for less as long as it goes
I feel a fiver in my hand is a bonus - good condition stuff that doesnt sell I take to womans refuge as they often turn up in what they wear and nothing else
so get the camera out show things to their best and sell it in lots or try do nothig to lose but a bit of time
each 99p si something you didnt have - I am going to try my old gameboy and games once I get to the other end and get them out of the box see what happens
Obviously panic is setting in sodeep breaths Idoubt I can help much but perhaps two heads will be better than one
for a start if you are worried that the bank will pay your debts with that money then move it into a basic acount now or a savings account with a bank building society you have no other account with any of them or their partners
2nd cancel slimming world its not doing anything for you at the moment thats 5 each week saved (not much in the great scheme of things but it all counts) throw that extra at the credit card and as the min payment comes down keep the amount you pay the same
stop worrying over what has happened to the money it has and you cant undo it (good grief I am sounding like my dad< did I learn from him hell no but 30 years later I am starting to)
have you a very recent SOA if not do one then either post it here - or I will look over it in a pm or get a friend or family member to go through it with you (but I can understand you might not want them to know
would your landlord be up for a sub let if you have a friend that needs a short term place to lay their head I took in foreign students short stay three weeks at a time now and then -but I do own my home I am assuming this is an option if you want to do it
car sharing is definitely a great idea less wear and tear etc do you think you can combine journeys eg shop while at work at lunch time - it will get you out of work and less likely to feel you need to snackEmergency fund £10,000
Several categories with savings in
Cars, house maintenance, birthdays
Etc I have about 10 categories
Really happy to be debt free after being a compulsive spender0 -
Hey thanks for replying well it turns out I was worried about nothing. I’m still on track and have enough to keep my going until mid June.
I’ve started taking the money out my savings and putting it into my shortfall envelopes so I still have it to pop into the bank when I need it.
I’ve one bid on eBay for 99p which is right it’s better the 99p in my pocket.
I haven’t went through my clothes as yet. I might try popping some on Facebook first before I try eBay.
I have received an order through my business for £110 which is really good and surprising for this time of year. I’m hoping that I only need to spend £40 max on what I need to do the order so I should have £70 coming in which is good.
I help out at slimming world every week and I enjoy the company so I will keep going as I need to get the weight back off and I will use the money out of my food budget to pay for it.
I’m back at work tomorrow and am not looking forward to it! I have made some lentil soup today so have lunch sorted for tomorrow and Tuesday.
I’m getting a lift into work so that will save me petrol tomorrow.Trust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0
