Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.
Today started out pretty average then got a bit better and then turned into the day from hell! A few issues have arisen at work and I was taken in and spoken to by a senior manager and has made me worry about the future in my job. Im not going to go into details but Im not sure I can continue or want to continue to work there which leads to my next dilemma.... I need a job... I can't honestly say I enjoy the one im in but I thought I was good at it... although some people beg to differ! The last thing I need just now is to have to worry about my job as well as everything else that is going on in my life.

I need to decide should I go into work tomorrow with my head held high which is what the senior manager said I should do (it wasn't all negative but its shaken me that people think so little of me) or do I phone in for an emergency holiday or just bite the bullet and go off sick with stress... with everything that's going on at the moment I think it might be allowed but then again if I do take time off I will be less likely to go back and it will be a lot harder to face everyone...

I was leaning towards the taking the day off but I think for my own sanity I need to go in and show these people that don't think much of me that at the end of the day they aren't my friends (I only have a few in there that I know I can rely on) that they can think what they like and Im better than the gossip and innuendos that they are flinging about... their lives must be so boring if they have nothing better to do than worry about what it is that I am doing or not doing as they think....

Normally I would have been straight onto the gambling websites tonight but am trying my hardest to resist but its when im at my lowest point that I always make a big mistake and lose a fortune that I don't have to lose...

So am going to forgo all money saving things tonight im not even going to check my balances am just going to switch off the pc and try and get some sleep and hope that im in the right frame of mind to go to work tomorrow.

Sorry for the rant but just needed to get it out

  • Hope you decided to go into work with your head held high :)

Sorry if I missed it but with the sale of the house will that not help with your debts?

Went into work heads not held high tho am sitting as far down in my chair as possible and struggling to speak to anyone without bursting into tears feel like I'm constantly on edge and it's only gonna take someone to look at me the wrong way and I think I will have a breakdown.

Hoping I can hold it together till I can leave at 5pm

This is not the start I wanted for August at all xx

    Evening...

Well the work situation hasn't really improved but I was off today which was good and am hoping that by the time Monday comes around I will be back to my normal self again.

One of my gambling accounts gave me free cash which I would normally have played but it let me withdraw it so I got £43 out and tonight I paid £45 towards my tv licence I still have £29.50 to go until its paid in full but it's one of my goals for August so I've at least made a dent in it.

I have been gambling free for 7 days now which for me is a very big achievement especially with how hard things have been at work over the past few days. .. it would normally be my go to escape but I managed without it so am very pleased with myself. I've set myself a goal of 50 days no gambling and if I can get to then I know I will have the power to stop.

I haven't sold anything else over the past few days as I've not been in the right frame of mind to do it... I still have some money to collect in and things to deliver so that money can go into my jars.

I meant to take stock of my jars at the end of July but with everything that went on it didn't happen so I have done it tonight.

I am so impressed with myself that I have actually done something good for a change... I will be doing my best to look out some more stuff to sell this weekend. Although I do have to do some housework at some point!

My washing machine has been on its last legs for weeks now so Ive been doing one wash at the weekends so did one today and when it finished my kitchen floor was flooded with water. I am not going to buy a new one as the cottage may have one in it and I don't want to fork out for a new machine if there is one there. In the meantime I will take my washing to my mums and do it there she has said that's not a problem.

Im going to do some surveys now and catch up on some diaries... I will try and post every day... oh I still need to make my payment today towards my debt better go do that now before I forget

You might get a new washing machine on freecycle if you try your local group. It would only cost you to move it.
Just a thought. Best of luck with everything and well done for not gambling.

Really well done to you for not gambling. I hope you feel a good sense of achievement there!

I am so sorry that things are so hard at work for you. It is hard when that happens. Work takes up so much of our time.

You have done well with selling bits! It is quite addictive!

    Have a good weekend.

    Thank you for your comments...
I went to slimming world this morning and id only put on half a pound so am still in my target so it means I don't need to pay so that's good.
Todays not been great the things at work have really overshadowed today and ive been feeling rather low its really affecting my mood worrying about what im going into on Monday. I've resisted the urge to gamble again today but it's been harder than normal.
I managed to sell another £3 worth of stuff today so its another few pennies for my jars.
Im going to try and enter some competitions and take my mind off things for a bit. Trying to stay positive but its just so hard
