Talktalk praise

First ever thread for praising TalkTalk? I only ever hear of negative feedback for them. I appreciate people dont like them but here we go.
I signed up for their reglaur broadband on a 24 month contract. Rubbish speeds, but I knew it would be. I got their advertised speed. Can't complain there really. No issues. No internet downtime or speed problems. I received what I paid for.
This morning I only had 8 months left on that contract. I noticed that for my monthly bill (£25, including TV boost which we have NEVER used as we don't watch my TV) they where advertising their faster fibre (not speed boost) so I decided to chat with them online, asking for the faster fibre for the same price I pay now and a new 12 month contract (the ad I saw said 18 months). They said yes.
They didn't discuss a set up fee. When my confirmation email came through, it stated a welcome credit of £50 but answer up fee of £60. Back on the online chat I went and they confirmed it is a mistake, they could see a credit of £60 on my account, so no extra fees. They then said they can reduce my monthly bill from £25 to £22.50.
So now I'm getting faster internet and a smaller bill, with just 4 months added to my contract. Bonus. There you go, positive feedback for TalkTalk.

Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

When I was with TalkTalk for 18 months I had no problems at all. In fact the only complaint I would had about them was I found another deal at the end of that contract with another provider that undercut TT, and TT made absolutely no effort whatsoever to try and keep me. Which was a shame really but their loss.0
