Smart Parking Scam ?

Hi
I have just received a letter from smart parking claiming that i did not pay or over stayed my allotted time in one of their parking areas. I remember the day well as i had taken my 86 year old mother to Skegness for a short break. I used the said car park and due to my mothers age parked as close as i could to the actual parking metre. I went to the metre and paid for a 2 hour slot as i thought this would be ample. I displayed the ticket and returned within the 2 hour slot to remove the car to a closer location as my elderly mother could not walk the distance back within the allotted time frame. The letter has a picture of my entering and leaving the car park, which i do not dispute, it shows a duration of around 1 hour 45 minutes. I then moved the car to another car park a mile or so away for the remainder of the day. I was shocked and angry to receive this letter and have already appealed it direct to smart parking. Im awaiting some response but after reading your threads on the subject im not holding out much hope of them accepting my appeal. So i am prepared to go to court if that is the case as im 100% sure i made the payment and displayed the ticket. I have asked smart parking to show me evidence from the actual ticket machine for the time i was there, which will prove i paid the fee as my car reg was entered. What more could i or should i do?

Everyone is politely asked to read up on this in the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum
Go there now to learn about the game you are now caught up in
You will see that court is a long way down the line from the initial appeal, and popla will be next if your appeal is rejected
Assuming you didn't reveal who was driving in your appeal then edit your post to remove details of who was driving
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you0 -
