RYANAIR - Urgent

Apologies if posted in the wrong area, I couldn't seem to find the correct one!

I need the e mail address of Michael O'Leary and the best address to follow that up with a formal letter by post!

I would also like to know if anyone else has suffered the problem we have experienced today which has left us extremely upset. Been on Chat for hours, spoken to call centre - they cannot help!

We use My Bookings as we fly several times a year mostly using Ryanair. Never had any problems up to now. In My Bookings there was a flight booked for Malaga and a flight booked to Faro for 28 October 2018. We wanted to change the flight booked to Malaga and use it on another flight to Faro for Christmas 12 December. We clicked on the Malaga flight, made the changes we required and got the dates and times we wanted. My husband was sitting with me to ensure everything was done correctly. The Malaga flights were struck through with a line and our new flights showed underneath. We paid £140.00 for making the changes to the Malaga flights.

However when we went into My Bookings the Malaga flight was still there! However our flight to Faro on the 28th October had disappeared! Couldn't believe it as we are still left with the Malaga flight, no flights for 28 October. We do however have the new Christmas flights to Faro on 12 December. Obviously there was a software conflict on Ryanair's system and for some reason those changes we made to the Malaga flights, changed our Faro flights booked for 28 October.

We've spent hours trying to sort this out since 7.30am this morning and it's now nearly 12.30! I've done nothing today!!

Of course Ryanair will try to say we changed the wrong flights - myself and my husband know we didn't but how do we prove this to Ryanair? Chat said the problem was with our computer!!

Never had problems changes flights before in My Bookings. We will probably be left with looking for fresh flights for 28 October and paying a further £140 to change the Malaga flights. Of course we will use Chat to make these changes as the same thing could happen again in reverse - our 12 December flights being cancelled for the 28 October flights!!

    Unless you took screenshots of every step I don't see how you can. Have you tried calling them?

    I agree. We wouldn't use My Bookings to change flights again, but yes, screen shots at every stage!

    We have been on hours to Chat/Call Centre and have now sent the complaint form off as they can't do anything only flight changes etc. A friend said to e mail and write a formal letter - which I will do if I get no joy from our complaint - won't hold my breath! That's why I'm looking for an e mail address and an address to write by post.

    We just been on to Chat and got them to use the Malaga flights on the re-booked October Faro flights and had to pay out more money. Again

    It is a total mess. We can now see that in fact first thing this morning when we tried to change our Malaga flight to new flights to Faro for Xmas via My Bookings, their system did in fact use the money from the Malaga flight, but a glitch used the Reservation number of our October flights to FARO, and they just disappeared. We know this, because they charged a fee for changing the flight plus the cost for the flight price difference, which would have been correct using the Malaga monies. However, if we had made a mistake this end and had clicked on the October FARO flights and changed them by mistake, they would have used the money off our FARO flights in October, they are a lot more money than the Malaga flights, and there would not have been a cost in flight difference only the fees for flight change.

    Ryanair will be able to see their system went **** up this morning simply by deducting the October Faro flights from the Xmas flights and see the Xmas flights are cheaper and there would have been nothing more to pay only the change fees. They could see, if they wanted to, that we were charged flight price difference and fees for the change.

    It gets even better, when we went on to Chat to get them to do the changes to the Malaga flights and re book the October Faro flights, this time, they charged £96.00. Whereas normally it's £140.00 for change fees. So that doesn't add up either. We've worked it out that their computer glitch has cost just over £100.00.

    A lesson to be learned - never make changes in My Bookings, although it must be said we have never had a problem before and we use Ryanair several times a year to fly to Europe on our pet sits. We've had to make flight changes several times over the last couple of years because sometimes we get additional pet sits in the same country and have to extend our flight times, or sits are cancelled as the one in Malaga was.

    NEVER AGAIN! There has nearly been a divorce in this house over this and we've only just got married ! Thank goodness my husband was sitting by me when I made the changes to the Malaga flight otherwise HE wouldn't believe me let alone Ryanair. I specifically called him over to look what I was doing and he had a moan as he said it was too early in the morning to be messing around on the computer!!! At least I know we did everything correctly, even if Ryanair won't admit it. As you say, no proof!

    Let this be a lesson to anyone who wants to make changes in My Bookings! It cannot cope with 2 trips to the same destination !!!

    Ryanair & Customer Service is an Oxymoron - haven't flown with them in years
    Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D
