I would like to buy an iphone but don't have the cash for a new one. Is it possible to buy a second hand iphone 6, for example, from somewhere respectable that gives a guarantee of some sort?

I just bought a used iphone from the shop Game.
They give a year's guarantee.

Try the Giffgaff Marketplace. Phones are refurbished, Unlocked and come with a warranty.

You have to buy a £10 sim card if you aren't an existing customer.

I am inclined to go a stage further than the foregoing replies and go for an Apple certified refurbished model. They cost more than other guaranteed refurbished iPhones for example those from Amazon but you are getting the real deal (nothing to do with Dickinson). The drawback is that Apple certified refurbished models tend to sell out rather quickly and that illustrates their popularity.

Buying a second-hand iPhone is fraught with disaster from stolen iPhones which are locked and blocked to iPhones which are still on an unpaid contract and are blocked by the network.

I bought SWMBO a used iPhone 6 last year from Envirophone at a fraction of the cost of a new one. It was like new, boxed new earphones etc and 12 months warranty
