Good Morning Everyone,
It has been a while I have had time to get on here and read all of your MSE ways.
Take DD to classes today
Pop in Ald! for some bits. We have adopted some lovely Guinea Pigs so the veg is excellently priced for them.
DD won a birthday party at a Trampolining place so we are off there this afternoon, she has already had one party and cake etc... today is school friends which will nice. And has a cheaper cake from Mr Ts
Money wise for me things have been a challenge I appealed as they stopped one of our benefits, but good news it has been reinstated.
My survey pots are looking good and will cover much of Christmas, I will do mostly vouchers as so many people are moving, so don't want stuff to
Keep on plodding along.0 -
Morning all :hello:
After a grey afternoon and having to get some washing in due to a shower  today is back to lots of sunshine
Today will look like:
Tidy one more room and vacuum at least 2 rooms
Smalls to prepaid dance classes
Shopping with a list. Tempted to have a small drive and try Lid1
Have a £10 voucher that I'd earmarked for diy (and spent in shop before) but when I went to spend it they said they no longer accepted them. Have looked where else, going to spend in 1celand, don't normally shop there but £10 of free food is all good. Voucher runs out next week
Order wm after I've measured it. Use price comparison site and get discount and possibly some additional discount through work, downing on which site it is
Put some things back in loft to make space
Feed tomatoes, managed it yesterday
Water some other stuff, look out for more raspberries got my first one yesterday:D:D:D
Make a cake, probably lemon drizzle tray bake as I have some ys lemons in fridge
Think that's it for now. Purps.0 -
Morning all
A whole weekend to enjoy without any exam marking :j Although I do have a set of class tests to mark.
Not sure what my plans are - I'll need to do some shopping at some point but it will need to be a very small shop as there isn't much money in the budget at the moment.
Going to see bestie this morning and catch up with her. I need to do a couple of loads of washing and tidy round a little bit as things have been somewhat neglected over the past few weeks.
I will check in later - have a good day everyone :coffee:Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt

Morning
Lottebear glad to hear you appealed and won your benefits
Ha ha I really didn't get much of my list done. Will have to put those things on the back burner now until Tuesday
today madam has her swimming lessons. I think I'll suggest to oh he take her - one of us can get in for £1 but the other would have to pay £5. I resent it as have a pool membership so it's free for me to go, and it's nicer!
Then it's her school fair. Going to get her to take some of her birthday money so it'll be low cost for me
Then oh is toting going to a free music gig on the promenade in the next town over.
That'll pretty much be our day! Other than that:
* washing on the line
* if oh goes for me staying at home I'll flylady the upstairs
* hem a skirt I made and take up a skirt I got from the cs yesterday for £2
* might take in some linen trousers I got yesterday so they are more fitted around the top. But need to get my head around that first!
* all meals from stores - will be a use up day. Have loads of bits and pieces in the fridge from things I've made over the last few days
* bake the beetroot salad before it's too late!
* pot up some cuttings I've been given
* play madam's lol game she got for her birthday
* choose new book to read wtih kindle unlimited free trial. Finished "Beneath the scarlet sky yesterday". It is about a young man in Italy in WW2. It's a true story and fantastic. If you can read it!
Ok that's enough! Have a great dayDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all
We had a bit of rain yesterday afternoon, meaning I didn't have to water :T
Looks like being hot again today though!
Today's plans:
Fold and put away washing on airer
Cut spinach and courgettes
Sort out house and contents insurance, just what I needed, another bill
Small shop, must make list
Get back to my cleaning one room a day routine which was scuppered by a tummy bug
A walk later
DD has just phoned to say she has been in A&E most of the night with baby GSso I will go and pick up GD so that she can have a rest while the baby (hopefully) sleeps. So I don't suppose much of the above will get done....

Hello Sunflowers,
Pleasant & useful day today. Money saving aspects as follows:
*Fruit & veg from local market - £6 for a big bag for life full....all the fresh stuff on our list.
*Wilko's for cat food as Cat's brand of choice is still £3.50 a box instead of RRP of £4.85. Got 50p washing-up liquid while I was in there & made a mental note that their own brand loo bleach is just 40p a bottle for next time we need it.
*2nd visit to Monsoon sale. Nothing bought. Go me!
*Found the wind-up solar lantern I promised to source for Mum half price in the sale.
*Our Aldi branch is closed for refurb so we shopped at Waitrose. Made use of £5 off voucher, there were offers on 4 of the items on our list, we got a free 'Guardian' AND the ys section was good - bought a pork fillet joint for £2 & a pack of pork chops for a little over a £1. A bloke was grabbing all the pork fillets. I kept hold of 3 (only wanted 1) so I could pop them back later to give someone else a chance but I noticed he popped back & had those too. Oh well, the thought was there.....
*Looked at hair oils & was horrified at the prices! I no longer buy 'Avon' & theirs was well-priced. Saved cash by buying a jar of coconut oil for £1.25, which will last ages esp as my long hair is being chopped off next week!
*mr f using up last 2 or 3 sprouty bakers tonight to make a batch of his lovely low-fat jacket wedges.
*Free fitness - have more than achieved my daily 7000 step target walking around town. Am now adding more steps plus strength exercise by bailing out this morning's saved bath water onto parched garden. Long garden so lots of effort required!
*Knit more sock (present)
Boiling hot. Even hotter tomorrow. Am longing for rain.

E11ie - I totally love knitting socks. Really you need proper sock yarn, as it needs the polyamid content to make them hardwearing. I think the best value sock yarn is ZigZag. It's the same fibre mix as more expensive yarns - 75% wool/25% polyamid. It comes in lovely colourways which automatically knit up into patterns & stripes, etc. You need 1 x 100g ball to knit a pair of socks. Price varies - it's usually over £5 but not as much as £6 & it is occasionally possible to find it online for £4.95. Socks can be knitted on circular needles but I've always done mine on a set of 4 double pointed needles - size 2.5mm for 4-ply sock yarn. You also need a row marker....you can just use a safety pin or any little gizmo (broken earring!) that fits over your needles & you can slip it each time you complete a round of knitting. The only tricky part is 'turning the heel' - but once you know how to do it, you never need to learn it again. I've found hand knitted socks make nice gifts for the men in my life. The yarns come in such lovely funky colours & the socks last ages. I've also sold quite a few pairs over the years so a useful skill to have. Hope this is helpful anyway.

P.S If you have a branch of the 'Tiger' shop near you, it's worth checking their yarn. Just occasionally, I have found sock yarn in there. Limited colourways but fabulously low prices for same fibre content.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

Hi July-Penny-Jailers,
Work day 4/4. Now it's the weekend.
I have a busted nose!
Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:
THINGS I WILL DO:
* Check online banking. Done.
* Take medication. Done.
* Turn alarm clock off at the wall til tonight. Done.
* Get some exercise. Done. Strolled along the shore.
* Charge phone and laptops at the library. Done.
* Work for two hours in the library up the road and at the rest of the day at home so no fuel used to commute. Done.
* We had Chinese takeaway last night, paid for with under-spend on grocery shopping, and Tapas tonight, also budgeted for. Didn't have after-dinner coffee and spirits tonight as we live two streets away, just went home for it.
Things don't have to be perfect to be wonderful.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

Oh, Ally - how have you done that? Feel better soon.
I was thinking that I haven't had a productive day today, but I suppose I have. The exam marking is finished, done and over for another 6 months.
Did a little top up shop at L1dl - £17.90
2 loads of washing done and dried
Sorted through my clothes and binned off (recycled) the ones that are no good.
I'm going to aim to keep decluttering when I have a bit of time - it only takes 10 minutes at a time or something. I felt so much better after I'd hired that skip last year...
Spent the day with bestie - I took the doughnuts and she provided the sarnies. Now going to settle in front of Saturday night tv with a cold drink (maybe alcoholic) and some crochet. I think the vast majority of friends and family will be getting crafted goods for Christmas this year, and I have a couple of baby things to make so I'd better be getting on.Not giving up
