    All good news there babystepper and your DFD is getting nearer. How exciting. I am cheering you and Iwantanewlife on from the sidelines now you are so close and BCNS is debt free. I think you are both aiming for March/April? Close to £4K next month :) you have come such a long way.

    As you are SE will this affect your income for January due to the Christmas break?

  • Reading BCNS' diary has been a real boost for me - it's sometimes hard to believe this can actually happen but there she is, she's done it, and I can do it too. I'll need to get a read of Iwantanewlife's diary too.

    Yes, I'm still SE and yes, the holidays will have a big impact on my income. I'm hoping we will be able to keep up the debt repayments, I'm still aiming for the end of March/start of April wage as being my DFD, but already life is throwing some unexpected things at me, pretty stressful and requiring a small amount of cash outlay. Who knows how it will all pan out but I need to keep going. No other option now.

  • Yep life has a habit of doing that but you have made adjustments along the way like the car and still stayed on track so you will get there whether it is April or later. Christmas is tricky for most SE people and then of course the January tax return sometimes can throw spanners in the best laid plans but I imagine you are on top of tax as you seem well organised.

    It will be good to see the debt in the £4ks.

  • I filed my tax return in April and paid it straight away so thankfully I don't have that to worry about. January is a terrible deadline for tax returns - everyone is always skint then.

    In the meantime, I'm just hoping to get through December without any disasters. I'd really like to enjoy a good relaxing time. We'll see how that works out...

    Thanks, ohshithowdidthathappen!

    :xmastree::xmassign::snow_grin:coffee:

    I would like to thank all you good people who have helped me get my debt as low as it is today. All the good advice and support has made this possible for me and you are all truly appreciated. And btw, that coffee mug is not coffee, it's hot chocolate with Lidl's version of Bailey's in it ;) (because we're still saving money even though it's Christmas).

    So thank you my MSE friends, for everything you do for me.

  • Merry Christmas to you too and look forward to the debt busting in 2020. The Lidl's version of Baileys is in our house too. Just as good as the original.
