We had a gas cooker removed and a new boiler fitted 3 months ago which included a full gas safety check.
Was a new annual certificate issued at that time?

No annual certificate was issued but the paperwork for the installation includes a gas safety check list identical to the one we were issued with last year's annual check.

Would have thought they would have saved a bit of time and money by doing the annual check at the same time.
  • Received letter from courts this morning.

The application for injunction and claim for cost have been withdrawn.

That's great news! Thanks for coming back with an update.

Glad they have withdrawn their fairly frivolous action.

And a word from our sponsor - the Anti-Americanisation League.
To several posters here who prefer defense.....this is still a purely UK forum and we must defend the word defence even while their dear leader is bouncing around here blimp-style. Thank you and Yeehaw.

So a new safety cert is required by law on the expiry of "last year's" - and it's the landlord's nadgers on the line if it isn't done.

You'd think so, but that's their problem. A safety cert must be issued (at least) annually. If it's a year since one was issued, it needs doing.
