Most trustpilot reviews are solicited. Trip advisor too. I was asked for one the other day what I bought a coffee. By someone who didn't even serve me. I obliged, pointing who how annoying it is to be badgered by people with fragile egos while trying to enjoy a quiet moment by oneself.
Just had another look at the past 4 hours of reviews, all bar one or two of them mention the agent by name and then say how wonderful, as Kinger101 says, it looks like they are really pushing the reviews in a very particular way for so many to time and again mention the name of the agent. If you look at reviews in general people do not consistently mention staff names, just makes it all seem fake.0 -
Perhaps this is how so many of the PB reviews are similar, a happy customer when you accept the offer, grab a nice review from a customer at that point, before they then have to endure months of PB doing nothing for their money. I doubt they would receive so many 5 star reviews then.

They do look written by one person. People dont write reviews like that.0 -

There are many things PB are getting right but running the risk of what looks like fake reviews is a silly move. They really ought to ask for reviews once the house is actually sold, not at the acceptance of an offer. This is something Trustpilot need to ensure if they want people to trust what is written.0

I don't really see the issue - you want to know who the agent is for your area and you want to know what others think of them not just of the company in general. I dealt with my agent only. Unlike at some estate agents where you can end up talking to anyone on the team. It was reading the reviews that led me to know not to take their conveyancing service as it was slated. If you dont want to use them, dont use them.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

I was only asked for a review once we had completed on the sale - and I specifically mentioned my agent by name as it was him I was pleased with (as I didn't use their conveyancing) and it was his name I looked for for my area when I sold and needed to decide whether to use a local or online estate agent. A general review about PB wouldn't have cut it for me. And when I was asked to review I was asked to include his name. So I did. I also sort of copied the format others had used as it saved time and I really didn't want to waste mine writing a Nobel Prize for literature winning individual essay.

Just looked again at their reviews on trust pilot and nothing has changed, the agent is always named but the area covered by them is never mentioned, does anyone else not think this is suspect? Why mention the name if you don't know where they work?0

You should read all their terms and conditions before using them.
See: https://www.purplebricks.co.uk/terms/service-agreement/#0
But briefly, you have a choice of...
- Pay Now
- Pay Later (which really means you are taking out a loan to pay their fee)
If you choose 'Pay Later' they say...If you choose to Pay Later you shall make payment in full of the Product Service Fee when any of the following occurs, whichever happens first:- When the property sells and the legal process is complete or
- If you withdraw your instructions for us to market the property or
- If you choose not to use the Conveyancing Services or
- Ten months from the date you enter into the Service Agreement.
Also, if you 'Pay Later', you have to either pay an extra £360, or use their conveyancer.0
