It seems like its a bit pot luck with its ok or not. I would certainly avoid buying a house through them again. Not worth the hassle in my experience.

I tried to book viewings for a PB property and everytime I booked in the 'available' slots I would get an email shortly after saying it wasn't convenient and giving another time. Why have them as available if they aren't? In the end I gave up and am now in process of buying a house through a high street agent

We believed a so-called "friend" who is a local property comedian. (More appropriate.) They promised the earth but failed to deliver. We ended up losing the house we were trying to buy when they got fed up with PB lies & sold elsewhere. We switched to a proper EA after 5 wasted months & £1200, plus searches, surveys, solicitor costs etc down the pan. No apology from the "friend".

We were told by the PB rep to leave as much as we could as 'available' on the basis that you could always ask for another time, might explain it.

PB are fairly good in my experience. The setup makes good use of technology and can be efficient if all parties act. For example all viewings are booked online and the vendor gets alerted that a viewing has been requested and to accept or suggest a different time. All questions and offers come direct to your inbox.

The downside is PB's choice of conveyancing company - at best they are mediocre. So if you were to choose PB - best pay upfront and choose your own conveyancer.

PB are expanding with recent acquisition in Canada, and they also operate in the USA and Australia.

I would certainly strongly agree with this.

Be aware that if you choose to pay the PB fee when the house sells, you have to use their conveyancer.

Agreed with the above. Their conveyancer almost caused my (chain free!) purchase to fall through after not making any movement for 3 months and they even had the cheek to tell the vendor that I was the one holding things up. It was only when the vendor got in direct contact with me we realised what was going on and managed to push the sale through from both sides. Absolute nightmare and will be trying to avoid at all costs in the future! Will definitely make me think thrice about viewing a PB listing.

Just looking at the feedback on Trustpilot looks somewhat dubious. Time and again it mentions the name of the selling agent and how wonderful PB are, Its difficult to believe!

I sold my flat within two weeks with Ed - he was friendly, professional and helpful.
Our local lettings expert (Clyde) was always available on the phone
I enjoyed working with Shaun Read from the start and I feel that together we got a decent result quite quickly
Justin!!!8217;s friendly, supportive and sensitive work has been so valuable during my sale
Cannot speak highly enough of our agent, Ira Johnston
Maree made selling my house stress free and easy!
Patricia Eze, has been absolutely fantastic
Our experience with PurpleBricks was fantastic. Our agent, Ashley Taylor-Howe, was always on hand

Those are all within the last 3 hours, and so it goes on.

When I left feedback on Trustpilot for PB I did indeed use my selling agents name and that was how I looked him up in the first place - it was important that I used his name as he was the one that made things happen

Most trustpilot reviews are solicited. Trip advisor too. I was asked for one the other day what I bought a coffee. By someone who didn't even serve me. I obliged, pointing who how annoying it is to be badgered by people with fragile egos while trying to enjoy a quiet moment by oneself.
