    The what now? It's like saying "Neighbour got mortgage, we can't sell our house now". Makes no sense whatsoever.

    What exactly is stopping you from selling your house? Is it freehold?

    Our neighbour has equity release - and we cannot sell our house because he does...!!!!!!!!!

    At a guess, they possibly want/need the neighbours to sign something, but the equity release company aren't consenting to it. But that's the same as any other lender, or the neighbours themselves, refusing to sign. Nothing to do with equity release per se.

    I have never needed a neighbour to sign anything when I've sold a house! But I must admit that I'm intrigued
