Most larger supermarkets sell £25 and £50 ones, usually in both Visa and MasterCard varieties. My local Morrisons also has £100 ones in both varieties.0

Can you pay by paypal linked to your bank account?
Agree on the above though, if you want to support the project give your parents the cash to do it and explain why you feel it's a good thing to do and that you are aware of the risksSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Do you need parental consent to open a current account at the age of 17?
I opened one at the age of 15 and was accepted without parental permission. I think it depends on the bank and the minimum age defined under legislation, which I can't be bothered to check.Advice provided from this account does not consist of any professional knowledge. No , it's to stop under 18's getting access to age inappropriate web sites or products (like online betting or sex sites)
This is not quite the reason, there are number of factors, including Know Your Customer requirements which the disposable in-store VISA lack on their prepaid card range. This is the reason that Mastercard and VISA allow online services to issue prepaid cards, however these are not readily disposable and are tied to a specific name and address. There are some online providers, such as One4All which allow people to purchase store-specific gift cards, however these do not offer the same freedom and room for abuse as a network-wide VISA card would allow anonymously.
There are separate regulations in place to enforce age verification on gambling websites, such as ID documentation and public records cross-referencing to withdraw winnings, otherwise they are voided.
There are new requirements coming into force for !!!!!! websites in the UK, a digital version of the system used in nightclubs, where either card information is validated (prepaid not accepted) or ID documents are scanned, saved and checked against anti-fake computer algorithms.Advice provided from this account does not consist of any professional knowledge.
