Well please delete the email address I’m telling you what my investigator told me, and I have all the evidence. I can send it to anyone who wants to know.

I think the 2 replies you received were both valid and helpful, and calling us "idiots" is not going to go down well. We are well aware it is a fraud as you can see from the previous posts on the forum.

Sharing the results of your investigation is helpful provided you are careful not to open yourself or this site to prosecution for any claims of illegal activity that cannot be 100% backed up with proof. A PI writing a report to you alone does not carry the same risk as publishing it on the internet.

Somewhat inevitably, the lengthy list of highly controversial allegations hasn't survived on here, but it does beg the question of what Penny186 anticipated doing with it.

If you'd already wasted £123K of your money on unregulated and speculative 'investments', why would you spend even more on a private investigation unless you had a clear plan of what you'd do with the resultant data?

Posting it on a public forum was never going to end well but obviously any authorities, whether police or FCA, etc, are going to want some pretty detailed, relevant and admissible evidence rather than some blurry phone footage of someone dancing in a nightclub....

    Update on original post.

There was only £8K worth of wine in storage, no wine dealers wanted it so advised to go auction. Of £8K purchase price, I’ve got back £450, with one case left to sell. Purchase price was around £3K, valued at £100.

The other £9-10K gone. Having spoken to a specialist solicitor, I realise that in actuality, we could be looking at way more losses.

Thanks for your advice at the time x

At least the company is gone now.....

It looked almost certain that this would end badly for you but I am still really sorry that it did. Your father was defrauded, being sold wine at a massive premium to the true value - which you established at auction. I hope the people who perpetrated this fraud can be prosecuted.
