Obvs I know, but the time to do an HPI check is before you pay a deposit. Ask the dealer if it has finance on it, and note his reply. The 3rd party warranty you have bought is probably completely useless, as many items are excluded, but it's boosted the dealer's margin by £75 or so...
Does the car have a new MOT, and have you checked the service history?
These are all things you need to do when buying a banger.
