Hi guys,
Firstly just like to say you guys are unsung heroes and thank you in advance for your advice and assistance!
I've searched and searched the forum and cannot find an answer to this one (forgive me if I've been blind) but I've appealed as the keeper to UKCPM by email, as told not to send by post, however, they've said all appeals must reach them by post!
Even if I did want to send by post, I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks and don't have access to a printer so I physically can't send a letter at this stage. Can I just reply to their email stating that or something else?
I understand the next steps of the process so hopefully shouldn't have to bother you guys again til court is mentioned etc.
Thanks in advance!

You will know from the FAQ the futility of appeals to IPC companies anyway!
You can email them to explain your problem and post them an appeal when you get home - though it will fail!1 -
Yes I did read it was a waste of time but shows I'm following the correct process is what I gathered.
Should I still send via post even if the deadline has passed? Will that act negatively on my behalf?0 -
What is the background so we know the basis of any appeal. If you are bang to rights, you might not even want to appeal anyway, preferring to keep a low profile / them guessing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Yeah sure!
Car was parked in a college car park as the driver was attending an event there. The venue hosts offered parking at a discounted rate, eliminating the P&D aspect from UKCPM.
The PCN was given for not being parked in a marked bay, which the car was not. Was extremely busy event and the driver had been to the car park many many times before UKCPM took over. Driver has a receipt for parking paid to and given by an employee of the landowner (this is my understanding) so this is a separate contract between driver and landowner and doesn't even include UKCPM.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, you guys are the experts.0 -
so this is a separate contract between driver and landowner and doesn't even include UKCPM.
Seems sensible so there was no contract for lack of consideration. You got your parking from someone else. The UKCPM offer of parking was a bare (empty) and cannot be sued on.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Your thoughts on whether I should send an appeal by post by then or just wait for the Gladstones claim etc?0

Go early. You are not appealing; you are setting out why
a) they have no grounds to claim the money
b) they have no reason to continue to have your personal details
Any misbehaviour after that lends weight to any complaint to the ICO or the court - both have implications for them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Ok great! Should this be done by email (just the generic 'Info' email address) or by post in a couple of weeks? As mentioned impending holiday0
