Had workmen digging a trench for new storm drains along my road earlier in the year. The muppets came across a random bit of yellow "conduit" that wasn't mentioned in their survey. With wild abandon, ripped it out with the digger.

First I knew of it was the gas board banging on my door requiring emergency access to check for gas leaks.

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
