Celia Hammond do a fantastic job rescuing and neutering stray and feral cats as well as offer a reduced price vetcare service for those in need. Please could you read the the information regarding the Olympic site, sign the petition and help Celia Hammond hit their 10,000 signature target? Thanks for looking :A

I work for Cats Protection and we were talking about this over coffee a few weeks ago. It's an awful situation at the Olympic site and more people need to know whats going on there.
It's great that you have posted the link here!:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0 -
thats awful
have signed and will crosspost the link to other forums  Democracy is a process by which the people are free to choose the man who will get the blame.:j0 -
Thanks Angel and Cleo
Celia Hammond have been fantastic with not only my own dog but a stray cat that I have been feeding. They took him, neutered and chipped him and returned him for me to carry on feeding. They do a fantastic job and the staff are all brilliant as well :T:drool:  Timberlake Hussy Clique Member No 3  :drool:0 -
Hi fellow MSE pet lovers,
A bit slow on the uptake, I only came across this issue today, but please help - eveyone - let's save those cats!Olympic cats 'could be crushed'
Hundreds of stray cats and kittens face being crushed during demolition at the Olympic stadium site, it is claimed.
The Celia Hammond Animal Trust said London 2012 bosses had reneged on a deal to allow the charity access to the east London site to rescue cats there. Former model Celia Hammond said about 150 cats and kittens on the site had been saved but more were at risk.
Three litters of newborn kittens were said to have been found on the site...

PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION BELOW
Please do not believe Olympic Delivery Authority (O.D.A) claims that they are working closely with C.H.A.T and that they will notify C.H.A.T if kittens, lactating or pregnant cats are seen.
They are reassuring the public by letter, email, telephone and in their own Newsletter (Issue 3, November 2007), that "The ODA is working closely with the Celia Hammond Trust to capture these cats and move them off the site and into new homes."THIS IS NOT TRUE AND THE PUBLIC ARE BEING MISLED.
Being banned from the Olympic site is hardly conducive to a good working relationship and no pregnant or lactating cats have been reported to us by the O.D.A. In fact, they recently prevented us from rescuing a pregnant feral cat.
Out of the 157 cats and kittens that C.H.A.T has already rescued, only 5 cats have been reported to us by the O.D.A.
The Olympic Delivery Authority (O.D.A) has gone back on the agreement brokered at a meeting with C.H.A.T on October 11th and confirmed on October 12th that C.H.A.T would be given night access again to the Olympic site to continue rescue work, with a review of progress in a month.
HOW CAN YOU HELP
Call or write to the following supporting C.H.A.T's request for unlimited nightime access to complete the rescue of the remaining cats.
