Cash in hand does not mean illegal - you assumed it did and nobody would find out. Why on earth would you have even imagined that you'd be able to get away with it? Don't you see all the things that the DWP find out about? At some point during the last month you must have signed on. You read what you signed? You stated that you did no work. That wasn't an oversight, it was a lie.
    So what. Sometimes its survival.

The OP didn't sign on, the thread is about his father working whilst either claiming ESA or being on his wife's ESA claim.

Are you mixing this thread up with the other one (name in capitals) or are you saying this OP is the same person...

Don't panic and all these people trying to worry you. Firstly give them a ring tomorrow and advise them you have been doing a week or two of temporary work, you have tried to call the DWP on your time restricted breaks in the job but was unable to get through due to the long queues getting through on the automated phone lines and you was not able to call before or after work as the lines are closed. Remember the average time it takes the DWP to answer JSA enquires is 20-45 minutes, more at lunchtime and after 4pm. Also you had a limited budget on your pay as you go phone.

Sorry, mixed up threads. I blame it on the heat:o I'd been reading two threads about non declaration of income and responded about the wrong one.

It will be discovered by Data Matching. Could be several years down the line. The longer you leave things the more dire the consequences.
    Never caught up with me.

    Mind it was years ago.

The OP has simply been given factual answers about the situation detailed in the first post. If that is being perfect that's great. Far better than talking a lot of gonads.
