Thomas Cook holiday maybe cancelled?

HI. We booked a holiday to a hotel in Turkey in January for this July (17th). The hotel is new and was due to open end of April. This turned out to be May before it opened. The dates Thomas Cook have been sending guests has constantly changed and this has now moved to 14/7 due to health and safety concerns. This has been ongoing so I am assuming this may change again. When can I expect that if we are being cancelled I will be contacted? Its very frustrating and this holiday is for a special occasion which has now been ruined already due to the worry of where we will end up.

What have Thomas Cook said when you've contacted them to ask?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

They have said for the last month that it would be 1/7 this then changed to 6/7 and now it's the 14th (apparently). They said we will be going but that if that changes they will contact us even though this could be a few days before. I have seen some photos on a Russian web site from yesterday which shows lots of exposed wires so that's the reason. The hotel tell me they do not have a date Thomas Cook will send guests but TC say the hotel are aware we are coming form 14/7. It's a nightmare.....

    No specific time scale:

    13. CANCELLATION BY US
On rare occasions, we may need to cancel your Holiday and have the right to do so ; for example, if there
is insufficient demand for your particular Holiday. If we have to cancel your Holiday we'll tell you as soon as reasonably possible. If we can do so, we'll offer you an alternative Holiday of equivalent or closely similar standard and price at no extra cost to you, or a less expensive Holiday, in which case we'll refund the difference in price. If you don't wish to take the alternative we offer you, you can choose another one of our Holidays and pay, or receive a full refund of, any price difference. Alternatively, if we can't offer an alternative Holiday that you're happy to accept, you can have a full refund of any money you've paid to us, except for any amendment charges which arose before cancellation. We'll consider an appropriate refund of insurance premiums paid if you can show that you're unable to transfer or reuse your policy. We won't cancel your Holiday within 12 weeks of departure except if we're forced to do so because of unusual circumstances we could not have foreseen
and which we couldn't have avoided even after taking all reasonable care. (See paragraph 12; Changes Due To Circumstances Beyond Our Control) No compensation will be payable in these circumstances, whenever they happen, and we'll only have to offer you the above choices. We can also cancel your booking if you fail to make payment on time.

Have you looked to see if there are any alternatives, and had that conversation with them, just in case?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I have read these . The changes are in their control as it's been going on for over a month and they know this. They stopped selling the hotel in April and only took new bookings form September I think. They said we will be going there. They have only cancelled to 13/7 at the moment but like i say this has been ongoing since end May and cancellations happen on a weekly basis. All the 5* hotels are about 19,000 now and we paid 12,000 so don't really want to pay that much extra. Booked early and got a good price.

Stupidly I though they would give us a week or 2's notice that we would be cancelled so we knew where we were going. I had to pay my full balance 2.5 months ago and now it's just over 2 weeks ago I still don't know. It's for my parents and Auntie and Uncles golden wedding but it's being ruined now.
