Protect Your Bubble: Worried about sending laptop for claim

Options
Hi everyone,

I have gadget insurance on my laptop which I am looking to claim on as I’ve cracked the screen.

I have some concerns about sending my laptop to Protect your bubble as I’ve been told that even if you wipe your laptop, your data can still be accessed from your hard drive. I’m not the best with technology so don’t know how concerned I should be about this.

I have sent my phone off to them for a claim previously and had no issues, but would really appreciate any input on whether I should be worried about my data being accessed if my laptop is re-furbished and sold on by them for example.

Thanks for any input. :)
