Boiler Service

I have a Valiant boiler (system condensing boiler) and appreciate that having boilers installed is not cheap, let alone the cost of the boiler itself.
Had mine installed in 2007 when we had the whole house refurbished and so for me ensuring that not only was the warranty maintained but the service was done properly. There are YouTube videos by good professional people who explained what the service should consist of and what exactly should be changed. However, the reality is how may gas engineers actually do the service correctly and instead do a very "basic" service. For example having the seals and gasket changed, repressurising the expansion vessel etc...

Hope this helps in asking the right questions with who ever you get in to do your boiler servicing"I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0
