Some advice re timing a switch please

Hi,
My broadband with plusnet ends 17/07/18 and my line rental on the 01/08/18. Any idea when would be a good time to switch to John Lewis broadband?
I ask because they don't end on the same day.

Start switch about 14 days before BB ends .
You may lose a little bit if you paid advance line rental .
Otherwise start switch about 14 days before ALR ends but then you may well be charged the BB at standard full price after contract date .The contracts don't end but move to a rolling 30 day contract .

Interested to know how you got on with the switch. I have got JL in mind for my switch.

I presume that is 14 working days?
