Horizon Asda PCN help

Hi,
humble request for assistance regarding Horizon PCN from Asda car park. 3 PCN received by the keeper of the vehicle. Which was parked in Asda Wolverhampton opposite the University building last year. This gives 3 hours free if £5 is spent Instore and uses APNR.

Ignored letters from Horizon until finding this forum few days ago after receiving letter from Gladstones solicitors titled letter before claim requesting £130 for each PCN plus £60 costs. Asks for payment or response within 30 days or legal action will be commenced.

Keeper appealed to horizon using the pofa template however response received next day saying it is too late and has been passed to debt recovery plus and to contact them if I want to discuss it. Keeper then sent template letter saying liability denied as keeper, will not reveal who was driver and all images requested etc. No response as of yet.

Keeper is stressing out as potential ccj could harm career chances in legal field.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread where you will find sample robust responses to a Letter Before Claim.

I don't understand how a CCJ can harm a career, but my lack of understanding of that doesn't matter.

To get a County Court Judgment against you, first:
    1) there has to be a Court Claim, and
    2) you have to lose that caes, and
    3) you have to fail to pay the amount ordered by the court within the timescale specified.

You haven't even reached the first hurdle yet.

Seems to sum up the issue. Did you spend the amount required instore.

If the keeper is preparing for a career in the legal field I would have thought an understanding of how a CCJ might be a problem would be known.

    If not, it's explained here:

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Here is a little knowledge for you.

DRP are only dipsy debt collectors and you were right
to ignore them, powerless sewer dwellers

DRP offer PPC's a "no win, no fee" service and as you ignored
them, they did not collect anything hence they passed it
back to the PPC and it cost the PPC £££ZERO

The addons is how DRP earn their money which is normally
£60 per ticket which they get from the motorist (you) and
NOT from the PPC ..... they just pay the difference if
collected to the PPC which comes back down to the ticket value.

    With me so far ???

Therefore, Gladstones are trying to extort money from you
    that never existed.

So, you have 30 days to respond so you firstly deny
any debt and secondly you require a breakdown of the £130
    and I mean a breakdown.

Let us know what they say

In the meantime forget your fears and read these

But that's not a response to a Letter Before Claim.

You are right, some adaptation needed. ;)

How is someone wanting a legal career not following our simple advice to reply to a LBC?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Following the advice from the forum and this thread, I wrote a letter to Gladstones. Images of which I have uploaded and attached links for. I have since received a response containing a letter aswell as a pack compiled of the pcn letters from Horizon, pictures of the notices in the asda car park, an ariel view of the car park aswell as images of the vehicle entering and exiting the car park.

I would greatly appreciate if the members could consider the images and advise on what the appropriate action would be.

Here is a clue about this Gladstones rubbish

    DEBT COLLECTOR CHARGES

WHOOPS, the debt collector is DRP

DRP operate a "no win no fee"

DRP did not win with you so they collected nothing.

Potentially, Gladstones are now trying to extort
money from you that never existed in the first place
