In all seriousness though I don't think that's quite true, there's plenty of redress for UK customers, more so than in a lot of non-EU countries.

I'm sure the ASA would be interested if the OP would contact them and relay what they were told.

The cotton used in the garment is 100% cotton. Met this years ago when a horse hair paint brush was advertised as 100% horse hair. On querying it I was told the horse hair used was 100% horse hair, but not the other constituents.

We could have some fun with them..

    Get someone to message them
can you confirm if your 100% men's cotton t shirt could cause anaphylactic shock?
I only ask because my husband has suffered breathing difficulties each time he wears this t shirt?

    Or

I'm highly allergic to the chemicals used in polyester , can you confirm you don't use These chemicals in your 100% cotton t shirt ?I've been asked by my lawyer to clarify this.

    Etc

Although the reply is funny..... that and the 100% horse hair just typify the pathetic 'half-truth' world we appear to live in nowadays. :(

Why?? It says it's made from 100% cotton, it doesn't say it IS 100% cotton. The (35%) cotton is indeed 100% cotton.

Whoever believes this should not walk around with a sharp pencil - They simply are not responsible enough

No different to saying a Big Mac is made with 100% UK beef.
