Morning HG
Enjoy your busy but much looked forward to weekend. Is it a Bank Holiday for you as well? xx

No, no bank holiday for us in Scotland, sadly. Work and school as normal today, which has been interesting after a super busy weekend. We were all a bit slow on the getting up this morning, but trying to keep going with the work and the washing.
Need to get some shopping in today (the cupboards are bare!).
I got an email yesterday to say that my 0% deal was up next month and I don't want to fall into the trap that i did last time, paying interest for a couple of months before i noticed/ realised. So, this morning, i took a look at the deals and just got accepted for a 20 month 0% deal with no transfer fee. Should all be sorted in a couple of days.
I also need to sort out car insurance which i think is up next month, so need to do some comparison quotes to get on the front foot with that one.
The sun is still shining here, so hoping to make the most of it before the rain begins again...Sealed Pot Challenge 075

I've also got bids on 4 more items on eBay and another 20 or so active. I still have a bundle of stuff to photograph and list so I'm on the path to get rid of stuff and make a little money.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Totally random moment of joy, but a skirt that I bought a few months ago for £6 and only tried on is currently sitting with a £14 bid on it with half an hour to go. It's not often that this happens so delighted about that one.
Once everyone has paid, total ebay earnings are at £117, minus fees and postage probably around £80 made. Need to have a think about what I want to do with that cash - overpayment/ savings/ put towards Christmas fund etc.
Just cleared out the change in my purse - £3 to go into the sealed pot and 53p to go into the change jar.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Well done HG, that is a sizeable chunk of money and you have decluttered at the same time. Win, winIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Yes, i'm pretty pleased! Last lot will be getting packed up tonight and posted tomorrow (two people left to pay) then I can start thinking about what's next. I've still some more things to sort through, but a few are kids jackets so probably better waiting a month or so when more people will be thinking about autumn/ winter.
Today i need to really push on work to get some important things out of the way.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Hours until pay day: 8
It's a really bad day when I'm counting time until pay day in hours
I'm really looking forward to starting a fresh month and getting things in order. This month has been LONG and expensive. Next month will also be expensive but I feel like it's spread out and a bit more manageable.
I am planning on writing a list of all the bigger items that we will need for the month ahead (i.e. washing powder, toiletries etc) and buy them all at the beginning of the month. Then i can just focus on food for the smaller weekly shops throughout the month.
I am away for work next month for 5 nights and I get per diem expenses for that at £10 per night so i'll have £50 extra winging its way to me in September.
Just waiting on the new balance transfer credit card arriving so i can activate it, get the balance transferred then set up a new direct debit and fast payment on the online banking.
Really must go back through my spreadsheet in advance of pay day tomorrow to make sure I'm on track and know what I'm transferring here and there. Also need to amend the standing orders for my childcare payments as I've built up a little fund so paying less to them this month.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

.....but very funny if you don't mind me saying :rotfl: Only 6 now btw
You're doing very well with the Ebay sales, especially the skirt - sometimes it's the small wins that bring the most joy.
We have a travel cot that we need to sell. Usually it's having to take a photo of things that puts us off, but this time it's the thought of having to put it up first.xx
