    Morning everyone,

Very warm here already, windows are open on the shady side of the house and curtains closed on the sunny one. I will be filling little dog’s paddling pool later so she can have a cool dip when she wants :D
Need to pop out soon for a few fresh bits of salad etc and we have run out of ice-cream

    Many congratulations Csarina x

Have a good day folks x
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Well hard on the good news yesterday came really bad news. DGD was taken to hospital yesterday, they think she has a clot on her lung...at 33!! I am really worried about her. Waiting for more news from her mum today. DD and SIL are due to go on holiday on Wednesday, looks like they may have to cancel, I hope they have got good travel insurance.

A bright and already very warm morning, we get the sun in the sitting room in the morning, so curtains drawn in there until the sun moves round after lunch, then it will be nice and cool in there for the afternoon.

Laundry in, waiting for the computer techie to come and look at OH's lap top I have a feeling its going to the scrap heap. I am hoping that some of the stuff he has got stored can be taken off, I keep reminding him about backing it up to the external hard drive, but he never does it.

Something with salad for supper I think, we have picked the last of the strawberries, the few that are left we are leaving for the birds. OH has started picking gooseberries now and there is more rhubarb to use up.

    Good morning

This weather is amazing ...out first thing watering my baskets and it was warm then ....so love this and a week of it ahead at least.

As anticipated yesterday was a rinse and repeat of the day before :D Friend came round and we went to the pub for a sharer lunch jug of Pimms and loads of outside sunbathing tables to choose from. Haven't ever seen it that quiet on a sunny Sunday. Once the singing football fans started arriving we escaped back to my garden where another friend joined us with Prosecco and the world was sorted out all over again so endeth a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

Wash on so will hang that out soon and have a quick tidy then I have 6 work interviews to book in ready for a pitch I need to write this week. Leg is so much better again and yesterday I ventured out without the crutches....I took them with me in my friends car as a ....well crutch I suppose :D....but walked around the pub pretty well without them. I am being careful and will only do little trips out this week and always with someone there just in case. Stitches are due out today so hoping the nurses will come here to do it as its not my most favourite procedure and I don't want to be squiffy out and about

In and amongst the above I will be obviously be recuperating in the garden with my book and moving my paint chart on a few squares :)

Gers hope today goes well for you it will be over before you know

TASad to hear Mr TA is losing weight again I hope the doc can help you out today

    Enjoy the sun everyone :A

So the morning hasnt gone too well so far. Apparently we are banned from having one Grandchild unless we have the other too.

    I suppose Childcare doesnt count.

    Im biting my tongue here.

I wanted to take Livewire here on Saturday.

I dont think i could manage both in the water unless i dragged Grump in too.

Morning (just), am in the middle of doing jobs and have stopped for a break.

Deleted_User, great news about the coming baby but I hope your granddaughter recovers quo klutz, that must be such a worry.

TA am thinking of your DH

Judi, you may well find that the rules are 1 grown up for 2 children, I often had 3 with me, my Obe and friends' small ones as well and I wasn't allowed to take them into the local leisure pool without an extra adult.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Judi - would the Blonde One take Livewire & Diva there on her own? If not, how can she justify different rules for you & her? That one is pure safety - one small to one adult is the only safe balance where water is concerned.

Taking him out to a water park is totally different to gaving a non-sleeping baby overnight...hope her OH is going away as she did, to leave her to cope on her own... am so glad I don't know her coz I would get very cross on your behalf!

I wont be making waves, i think they are just a bit sore that we arent having them overnight any more. Apparently they have had a hissy fit at his Mother too. She is always having her other Grandson because his Mother (their daughter) is a one parent family and the Father isnt on the scene. So, for every time the Grandparents have the other Granchild, they have to have Livewire and Diva too. Son in laws Mother is older than me and she must be run ragged!

Sod it, what will be will be. Im not going to lose sleep over it.

TA I am sorry that Mr TA is losing weight. I know he is such a worry for you.

Csarina Such awful news. I hope your DGD recovers swiftly. Keep us updated.

    Afternoon everybody,

Judi- I agree with Floss, all our local pools are 1:1 ratio, especially when little Diva is so young. It looks a good place though.
TA sorry the Mr is still losing weight, even after your best efforts-hope the doc can come up with something.
    Nelski take care :)

I have DGD 6 here. She came back from her hol abroad yesterday morning and isnt feeling well, temp, sore throat so she's had a dose of cal pol and is watching tv.DS rang me as I was visiting Auntie up the road to say he was dropping her off but I was ready for leaving anyway.

The meal on Sat night went well with our friends but we dont seem to be able to keep going like we did when younger :rotfl:,Mrs DF was flagging by 10.30.Their son ,our godson picked them up at 11.30.

After the footie yesterday we delivered my sis in laws birthday pressie and sat in the sun having a strawberry G&T-very nice too.

Ok DGD is getting restless so better go.Chicken kievs from the butcher for tea, should be nice .

When the kids were little I went on my own in the pool with them but they were a fair bit older than Livewire and Diva. At best Diva would have to stay outside the pool with Grump but that's not ideal.

    I won't be blackmailed.

Prodigal was supposed to come for tea on Friday. He didn't turn up. He's had it in the neck this morning. He forgot.

Afternoon all - I survived the grilling so all your good wishes helped!

The SQA run a RAG rating (red, amber, green) and all my areas were firmly green, no recommendations or anything.:j:j:j:j I'm so pleased that it went well, NOW I can relax.

Csarina - what a worry! I hope that things can be sorted soon for her.

TA - another worry. Perhaps some serious action can be taken soon for MrTA.

Nelski - did the stitches hurt?

Right, some serious relaxing about to take place. I've got a book written by David McCallum (Illya Kuryakin for those old enough to remember).
