    Where I live now, next door is rented so I have had a succession of tenants there since I moved in. I, usually, introduce myself and mention I have a cat and to let me know if there are any noise problems. I do say it's an indoor cat but I wouldn't go as far as to suggest if it got out I might have to get into their garden :D

    To be honest they've all been friendly enough for me to know they wouldn't mind. Others have different relationship with their neighbours - or are, generally, more distant
