  • As we get closer to Easter, you may well find more properties coming on to the market. How disappointing that the response wasn't helpful.

Hope your DS is feeling better.

Thank you HSL2, he’s been fine since, thankfully.

The overpriced house stank. And was just awful. I can’t believe they are expecting to sell it at all, let alone for the price the vendor has set. Shocking.
I have two more viewings lined up for the weekend. One i’m not so fussed about but will look anyway, the other looks lovely but is about 5 miles away from where we are now so will be a bit of a journey to DS’s school. It will be closer to where his Dad is moving to though so that will be nice for DS. I’m in two minds about the distance and the 12 mile count everyday. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but my schedule is so tight that I have to get from A to B very quickly every work day. It is nice though and a little cheaper than the new build, albeit not much.

Tonight I’ve dismantled and sold a large piece of furniture for £20. I was going to give it away but thought I’d price it at £20 and get at least something for it. I’ve had someone on FB arguing with me for not selling it to them first and someone else demanding delivery even though I wrote ‘collection only, can not deliver.’ Oh the joys of selling on FB...

I saw DS’s Dad today after the disagreement the other day and he was actually quite supportive, so hopefully the air is cleared between us.

I bought DS some new underwear and pyjamas yesterday, reduced in Mr T’s. They also had soap powder reduced which I needed, so I bought a big box of that which will last me ages.

Large item of furniture (a bed) collected by a lovely lady and £20 received.
I bought a new bed in the Argos sale, at half price, then another 20% off, plus an extra £10 off by converting my nectar points to eBay vouchers, so it cost me £160 delivered. It arrived last night and I have built it this morning, it looks great and much more solid than the last one.

One load of washing is in the machine, will need to dry it in the tumble dryer shortly.
DS wants to watch some tv programme so I’ve just had a cuppa and I’m going to make a batch of brownies for him for the week.
Tea is sorted and I’m going to take some bacon out of the freezer for breakfast tomorrow.
This afternoon is going to be one of those ‘pottering’ types methinks.

    Happy Saturday all xx

No brownies made, decided against it as I found a ys loaf cake in the freezer which we’ll use up first this week.

The washing’s done, as well as another load of drying for OH. I used a free washing capsule sample received with the new tumble dryer before opening the big new box of soap powder, am trying to use bits up with (eventual) moving in mind.

I’ve also forced myself to list three bundles on eBay asi it’s £1 max selling fees at the moment. I’ve listed them as auctions, but may change them to BIN’s later as these seem to sell better lately.

A nice weekend was had here and quite a relaxing day yesterday which was much needed. I did go and view a house which would’ve been perfect if it wasn’t for the obvious problems that existed. Evidence of subsidence was quite clear, so walked away from another money pit there.
OH and I popped to the local supermarket on the way back from there and picked up some reduced items, such as packs of bagels for 19p. Guess what I’m having for lunch all week!

I’m just sat having a cup of tea and trying to warm up before collecting DS from school. It’s not particularly cold here, but my hands are like blocks of ice and I can’t seem to get warm.

All three eBay items now have bids on so all will sell. :) Hopefully the bids will increase a bit more before they end, but every penny counts!

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
