I've always understood rugby to be a game played by blokes with funny-shaped balls. :D

    I'll get my coat.....

I enjoy cricket ,but prefer to watch it live at our local ground, on a pleasant sunny afternoon under the shade with my knitting and a nice cup of tea.

Tennis I may watch on TV sometimes but only the chaps I hate the grunts and shouts of the women(plus the men have lovely legs :))

Football I can cope with, but not non-stop stuff, and its the waffle I probably dislike more than the game .

Anything else I just find something else to do, or watch a taped movie. But I do have friends who for various reasons have only the five channels on their tv's and are housebound, so are a bit stymied when it comes to the World Cup. Hopefully the frenzy will cool down once some of the teams get knocked out.

Had a great afternoon at History club today and we did female singers/musicians one of which was Cleo Laine. really good afternoon along with the strawberry and cream sponge cake baked by our tutor, very yummy.

Feet up and a bit of relaxing now as its rather warm .No shopping to me today but I will probably go on Sunday at Lunchtime when the shops will be empty and folk will be watching football and the England match :):):)

    Evening all :)

Been very slack in posting. OH had an op to remove a polyps which was thankfully a success. Had a lovely holiday at the beginning of the month to Portugal and now back to work which is, quite frankly, horrible! Working for 2 people who both work weekends and late nights dictating (I'm a legal secretary) so barely have time to even go to the loo right now :o Hoping to speak to the manager about this next week as I'm worried with all the stress it might trigger an MS relapse. So money saving has been out of the window and easy bung the oven meals are the order of the day.

Anyways looking forward to a pottering housework weekend as haven't been about the last few weekends, plus bbq and football Sunday. Speky I love my football (dads fault) but OH is diehard Chelsea whereas I'm Utd - makes for some interesting times!

Right off to find the cat who keeps hiding in the hedge to keep cool - hope everyone has a good weekend. Hugs to those who need one x
