Shame I can't post an image of the area because I am a noob, but there is a zip file I "linked" in the 3rd reply or so.

yes you can , use tinypic and post the url on here, but edit it to hxxp from http, we will fix the link for you

no such thing as "can`t" , just a lack of knowledge on how to do so

and yest the signage should be clear, which you will put in any court defence , plus quoting the IPC CoP too

The advice when dealing with an IPC company is to then not engage with their IAS.

Yes, but I have engaged with their IAS... because it seems sensible for someone who does not spent his life in the forums here.

That is the situation. I came here for advice on how to answer, or go from here...

You started this thread this morning to ask about your proposed IAS appeal

Now you tell us it's already gone!??

If so now nothing to do except ignore everything unless it's a lbcca or Court correspondence.

If you get to that stage then come back to the FAQ for advice on how to deal with it

    ok, thanks!
I know how to add an image that is on my ftp (but got the no links warning), and I did indeed not know that while noobs can not post links, the admins will run after them converting hxxp to http :D

    Post is updated, further up

The thread says second round of appeal, meaning there was already a first round, which is what I copied into the thread: "I'll copy paste my initial IAS defence here, with their response."
In order for them to respond to my appeal, I must have send an appeal, right? ;)

You can go back and forth at least 2 times before the whole thing goes to their adjudicator:
"You can respond to the evidence by making any representations that you consider to be relevant as to the lawfulness of the charge any by uploading any extra photographs or other evidence that you may have. After you submit your response, and the operator doesn't provide any more information you will not have the ability to add to or amend your submission. If the operator provides more information or evidence you will then have another chance to respond."

Anyways, I have until next wednesday to reply.
Since I am already engaged in that appeal process, why should I not make a stronger case, but instead ignore them (other than time spent)? What would that change?

OK (Have you read the advice on IAS appeals in the FAQ?)

See advice from CM in #9 regarding your appeal, its chances and what you need to prove, and what evidence needed

Private Land is a thing where other rules than the highway code apply (in motoring terms).
Not true, I'm afraid. Most notable is all the roads approaching airports, which are often private, but the HC, and in particular, road traffic law, most definitely applies.

Right, I was referring to parking, as is the case here. Badly formulated.
Better would be: where other rules than the highway code MAY apply.

As I said earlier, you have a slim chance IF you have proved to the IAS with photo evidence that your car was, on that day/time, in a road that has no signs at all. Did you include lots of evidence to support what you are saying to the IAS, because they won't give you a second chance or ask for it, nor will the Adjudicator (anonymous allegedly biased person...) go looking on GoogleStreetView for you.

They WILL however, bend over backwards to uphold the PPC's ''charge'' if they possibly can, because of the IAS conflict of interests. Same Directors ran Gladstones solicitors and the IPC, who run the IAS.

If you lose at the IAS, guess which firm of solicitors then sues you for that charge?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

to help your understanding of this national scam disgrace

please watch / read the below .

It is your choice to proceed with a IAS appeal , you now understand that it is likely to fail. purely on maths

around 20% stand a chance on a lottery of decisions .... to make the IAS look reasonable .... I do not know the stats for a 'well argued case' to win ... but it is probably a handful a year ..... 'slam dunk' cases are regularly refused:eek:

in the below the BPA are suitably described as as much use as a 'chocolate tea pot ' (Hansard) the IAS are worse ....

    https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2018-02-02/debates/CC84AF5E-AC6E-4E14-81B1-066E6A892807/Parking(CodeOfPractice)Bill

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.

These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.

    good luck
