Cold solid walls, how to heat?

We used to have a house with a lead cold water feed to the bathroom buried in the plaster of the outside wall.
Being behind a unit of furniture, we didn't worry unduly about this, but mould gradually built up on the wall at that point, and that point only.
Just a thought.0 -
Did a further inspection this weekend, render is intact and no cracks etc
Funny thing - the outside wall did not feel cold at all, so even more confused now.0 -
There are all sorts buried in the wall.
Is there any pipes including radiators or water pipes nearby ? Any gutters?
What is the room upstairs? is it near the bathroom? Sometimes something leaky like a broken seal around the shower basin can cause water to run along the brickwork to all sorts of odd places.0 -
No pipes etc.
The bathroom is above, but I would suspect the damage would be more near the top if there are any leaks etc0
