    Morning everyone,

Sunny here but much cooler, am pleased as I have a schooling lesson on Lu later and don’t want to end up a soggy mess :D
DOH thinks the interview went reasonably well thank you Holly but suspect he may be over-qualified for their needs, they seemed a bit overawed by his cv but hopefully they will cotton on that they can get a lot of bang for their buck, we’ll see.
Today is food shopping first thing and then need to pick up a couple of bales of haylage, hopefully we have some standard hay coming in the next few days but the supplier keeps letting us down delivery wise.

Happy holidays to all travellers, get well wishes to any poorlies and have a good day folks x

    Good morning everyone,

Actually quite a nice morning here in Glasgow. They occaisional cloud, but mostly blue skies and sunshine.

Yesterday evening I played football as normal. Came home, showered, watched the Bob Mortimer show and went to bed.

Tonight is a free night, with no plans. I will perhaps stay a bit late in work and if I get the chance, I'll make that cake I've been telling myself I'll make. Dishwasher is on the blink too, so I'll have a stab at fixing that too.

Wait, hold on a minute, are we all anti-sport here...? The World Cup only comes around once every 4 years!
  • SPEKY no we are not ALL anti-sport on here! I am quite enjoying watching the world cup games (happen as well as Mr TA is an avid football watcher!) but my all time favourite sport is snooker. I love watching Wimbledon but most of the other tournaments don't do a lot for me. I can't stand the squeaking of tennis shoes on clay courts! But as far as cricket and golf go, well I'd rather sit and watch paint dry!

    Morning

What a gorgeous day. Blue sky and warm again at last

Agree with those grumping about the amount of sport on particularly when there are so many specific sport channels where the people who wanted to watch obscure countries play with each others balls could fill their boots. ;)Jackie I am grateful to have sky and netflix so dont need to break my no footy law but I do feel for mum who only has the 5 channels and is really missing her favourites

Project recovery coming on really well leg is still resembling an elephants at the moment but the wound is so much better for going dressingless :) Nurse was so pleased she discharged me from daily visits but I can call her if Im worried. Going to up my exercise a bit daily now as being a sloth suited me for a few days but is getting dull now. I am managing to walk to the loo without crutches now but I am now thinking of ditching them completely in the house and start to build the muscles up again.

Yesterdays dip back into work was successful and I picked up 2 courses to run end of July and early Sept. Couple more bits and pieces to do today and then its lunch out with my lovely friend who has helped me out so much with lifts and picking up my Rx I am going to treat her as its the least I can do.

Right back to being busy doing nothing enjoy your day all:)
  • Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Have a good holiday those of you who are going away.

Up early and off to Aldi, I seem to be spending more shopping fortnightly but to be honest I can no longer cope with a months shop at a time. I need a freezer audit before I go the next time.

Shopping put away, nice mug of coffee......revived me. OH is in the garden, he has just brought in 10 sticks of rhubarb. There will also be more strawberries later. We have picked over 11lbs so far this season. I have had to resort to giving some away.

Bright day here but quite a breeze, if you can get out of the wind its quite warm.

Car booked in for its MOT on Tuesday, fingers crossed it passes, the new rules re diesels are a bit of a worry.

I took OH out for tea yesterday, so a poached egg on toast for supper whilst watching Maigret. Neither of us are into football, Rugby for OH and tennis for me, I do like to watch the racing occasionally too.

Quiche and salad for supper tonight, have some little potato's to cook, I do them in their skins and put butter on them, yummy. Of course we will be having strawberries for dessert, but with cream rather than ice cream.

I am so pleased that the wound is getting better at last. Be careful without the crutches.

I woke up early so pottering around emptying and reloading the dishwasher and doing a quick tidy before washing my hair and getting changed before the cleaner comes round. Had a cooked breakfast so will have a thin filled bagel and a yoghurt for a late lunch and then a steak and green veg for tonight. I am determined to get to grips with my weight and lost five pounds when I got weighed last night. Have even got round to checking the syns in things rather than guessing and found to my horror that the skinny latte I thought was a couple of syns was 4 and a half and that an Emmental cheese slice was 5 syns . Amazing I lost any weight given I was happily slurping and guzzling the stuff.

I remember having a kitchen cupboard full of Fortsip and the prescriptions being so heavy they got driven to the door. Does DH hate the neutral even if he does not know it is there?

    Hugs to all

I love almost all sport although I'm not going out of my way to watch all the World cup matches.

We're back from Bath where we had a wonderful time. Luckily the stomach bug finally departed my system about 5pm on Tuesday so I was able to fully enjoy myself. The hotel was lovely and within a 5 minute walk of the centre and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring and going to the spa etc.

Busy busy day! I'm wrung out mentally, roll on Tuesday.

My meeting was lovely again, this colleague gave me her entire EV portfolio to cannabalise and merge with my stuff. I'll be doing a load of printing off and compiling of papers tomorrow. We also had lunch and shared a humungous meringue.

I've been outside to spray the rotten weeds again! Persistent little blighters they are, creeping out from the edges of the bark. Then I sat on my lovely new bench for a while, just enjoying the sunshine.

I've had a chicken salad and then some strawberries with cream. The cream was just about on the turn but not quite off. As we happily eat sour cream I'm sure it'll be fine.

Early this morning I was in 'conversation' with one of my closest friends via WhatsApp - within 20 mins we had decided to meet up, booked an hotel in Berwick and booked a comedy gig by Fred MacAulay. :T All whilst still under the duvet.
  • Evening all - Dixon style! Got rather a big shop done this morning, in Sainsbobs and then Aldi. The store cupboard is now well stocked again. The bedding was washed, dried and ironed in record time so I've had a bit of a lazy afternoon after a very busy morning.

The dreaded neutral Fortisip was handed back to the chemist whilst out and about too. Mr TA is glad to see the back of it! ELONA I didn't have to tell him it was incorporated into assorted dishes, I swear he could tell from 50 paces! I added it to some parsley sauce and he was violently sick after a couple of mouthfuls. He just couldn't stomach it no matter what I put it in! Fortunately he is happy enough with the vanilla one being used in desserts and the Aymes strawberry shake whizzed up with cream and ice cream!

Have a nice evening folks if you can and enjoy the footie if you are a fan! xx
