Hi Excel gurus,,
As an example,,,
I have a cell at the head of a column. Lets say the cell is B2.
In B2 we have a number, for example 34.
What i want to do is increase B4 by a percentage.
The percentage can be variable so i will input it in cell D2
So then i want to increase the value in B2 by the percentage in D2 and display the result in B3.
I then want to increase the value in B3 by the same percentage and display it in B4 and so on all the way down the column.
I have tried a few formulas in B3 then tried dragging it down the column but cant get it to work properly..
Thanks all

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

the dragging thing tends to try and increase the cell count, which is not what you want.
Try this:
Enter 34 in B2, your percentage value in D2 (for this example 10 for 10%), then in C3 enter this:
=B2+(B2*$D$2/100)
In B3 enter =C2
You can then drag column B and C down as you need to and it continues to work building cumulatively.
So you should rows:
2 34 37.4 10
3 37.4 41.14
4 41.14 45.254
etc.
The key is the two $ signs, which stops Excel trying to be helpful and means its a fixed cell reference, so when you drag it it doesn't auto increment.0
