Mobile Phone Insurance

Well hi there,

Just wondering if anyone uses an insurance company to cover their mobile phone.
I've just upgraded my phone and I'd like to get it covered, but the one offered by my phone company meant I'd be paying about £12 a month, about two thirds the cost of my phone package!

So I'm shopping around and looking for suggestions.

Thank you

I was with switchedon, was paying about £6 a month for my Galaxy S8.

Claimed for a cracked screen, £50 excess, sent my phone on the Thursday, and got it back on the Monday.

    No issues at all.

Some packaged bank accounts include phone insurance. Nationwide include travel insurance and breakdown cover, as well as phone insurance, in theirs.

There can be a huge difference in cover between policies. I'd like to think most MSErs will do it automatically, but make sure that the cover you want is provided, in the policy document , not just what you expect or a glib sales rep has assured you.

Check with your home insurance first to see whether it's covered.
