Offer rejected, using another EA?!

Hi I am a 1st time buyer and I would appreciate some advice.
I put an offer on a house, I know I am the only bidder as they told me (house has been on the market 2 months and discounted twice)but as soon as I made the offer the agent started telling me he had 'interest' from others. After some 30 mins he told me he passed it to the vendors and they asked if I could increase it. I qualified my offer via my financial adviser and I am in no chain so in a good place to proceed. I told the agent I needed to consider whether to increase (as I am basically bidding against myself) and he kept pushing with emails and phone calls eventually informing me I had to tell him within the day (less than 24h since my original offer).
I had thought of increasing my offer and set my first offer accordingly but the EA pushy behaviour led me to stick to my original offer, which I left on the table.
At this stage he told me he had another offer and 'other viewings' and mine would not be considered at all unless I increased it.
Now, the house is on the market with another EA, as the first one is even refusing to 'consider' my offer, could I go to the 2nd EA?
TIA

The vendor is not obliged to accept your offer - they may have a minimum they are wanting to accept and you came in below it - you aren't really bidding against yourself, you are meeting the vendors expectations of a sale price. Going with the other estate agent at the same price is unlikely to make any difference I expect. Either leave the offer on the table and continue looking or make a higher offer.“Isn't this enough? Offer what you are willing to pay, and no more.
If they are asking for more, then walk away. There are plenty more houses on the market.
Even us seasoned buyers find a 'dream home' and then it falls through, only to find an even better 'dream home'.0 -
Thanks! I appreciate that and I do want to increase(of a considerable amount too)...I just do not wish to deal with this EA as he was rude and aggressive. Hence my interest in understanding if I could go to the other one.0

You are not bidding against yourself as you are not in an auction.
If for whatever reason the vendor does not wish to accept the offer then that is the end of the matter. I don't think putting the same offer through another estate agent is going to make any difference.
If you are not comfortable increasing your offer continue your property search.0 -

EA acts for the vendor. Perhaps there is indeed another interested party through the other EA. Hence the vendor likewise pushing hard. Not as easy if all parties were with the same EA.0 -

If you go to the other agent, the vendor risks paying double fees. With that in mind, they’d want an even higher offer to cover those extra costs. Best stick with the EA you have used already and hope that if your offer is accepted the after sales team are less rude.0 -
I would go and speak direct to the vendor if you can and ask them what they will / will not accept.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100/100miles

Sorry maybe I have not explained it well, I do** want to increase the offer, I just don't appreciate the behaviour of this EA and how he dealt with it. I know he works for the vendor but there is no need to be rude. If I could go to the other EA I would put in a higher offer. I know the other EA and I like it, just ddn't realise they were selling this property too.
And do not understand if it is possible for me to go to them now.0 -

No - you shouldn't offer through the other EA.
If you now offer through the other EA, the seller will have to pay double fees (i.e. a fee to both of the EAs).
That would put you at a disadvantage against other buyers who only offer through one EA, making their offers more attractive.0 -
You said you told him you were considering increasing your offer ... So he is following that up to see if you are going to or not.
If you'd said you were not going to increase, perhaps he might not have got back in touch.
He simply wants to know whether you're increasing it or not, it seems to me.0
